Love My New Spode Dishes

I just love these dish ware, they are so elegant and beautiful! I bought 2 sets and they will make an excellent choice for my dinners with family and friends.

Traditional and recognizable

Love these snack sized dishes. Great for a roll, couple cookies or whatever snack you might be having. With my coffee mugs it's the perfect afternoon or evening serving set. Can't go wrong with the fancy look of Spode! Always recognizable and traditional, that blue and white legacy lives on in my home.

These are beautiful as long as they don’t show up broken. They aren’t packaged very well, so good luck. I had to have multiple replacement sets sent since they kept breaking in transit. The actual china is beautiful though.

Gorgeous classic Spode. Blue Italian will sure be around for many years to come, so generations can enjoy this bone china!

Absolutely gorgeous. This set reminds me of a set that my mom had, so I had to have it. I am going to buy some more set. I love them so much.

Beautiful and classic. These are an heirloom piece and worth the time and money to get them. They look so pretty against a white tablecloth. Surprisingly not as fragile as you may think. Dress up any occasion.

Beautiful. Is a wedding gift for our grandson. Was concerned about breakage but the packaging protected the dishes well. Price was less than other places I checked. Good deal!

Great set

Beautiful craftsmanship. Beautiful dishes. Can make a weekday dinner feel like a special occasion. Purchased set because I could never find a Normal size teacup and saucer by itself for purchase. Most places only had Jumbo tea cup and saucer set and I just wanted a Normal size teacup. Will definitely buy more sets and/or pieces in the ffuture.

I love the pattern of my new dishware (4 place settings) but am VERY UPSET that I ordered from the Wayfair website what was purported to be :BONE CHINA. What I received was not; but is earthenware. This was misleading and I would like restitution in some way. Check your ad to verify -- under Specifications, it states "bone china". Please make this right! Heidi FItch

Avid lifetime Spode collector over here. Buy Spode elsewhere! These are not authentic Spode. I ordered 6 sets of the same listing and 4 have been tempered with. Different boxes, different glazing, coloring, missing stamp markings, different sizes than as specified by Portmeirion. Been liaising with Wayfair for 6 months now and still haven’t been refunded. Absolutely appalling- get authentic spode elsewhere, these are counterfeit and illegal to sell and keep!!

It's a beautiful set, but it's not made of bone china as stated in the product description-it's made of fine earthenware. I do find some dots underneath the plates so not really 100% satisfied with the quality; I would expect higher quality control.

Defective!!

After reading all the other reviews, I decided to order two 5 pc place settings to start my set. They arrived very quickly and were packaged well so they were not broken. The big disappointment came when I took them out of the box and turned them over. All of the plates and saucers have "dimples, or bubbles", in the glazing on the bottom surfaces. The top, printed part looks great, and the cups looked perfect, but the bottoms of every plate and saucer there are defects. I don't know whether I want to go to all the trouble of trying to return them to a store location in the hopes that they have some on hand that are not defective that I can exchange these for. I really don't want to order any more and risk getting even more that are defective. I thought that this was supposed to be an excellent brand of dinnerware, one that I wouldn't have to worry about defects, but I was sadly mistaken.

These are the most beautiful dishes. Spode is a name in dinnerware that means quality and these are better than first quality. The silky feel of the plate in your hand is fabulous. I ordered 7 sets, 6 for my regular table settings and one to spare. I wish I had more room for everything in the collection. I did order the matching teapot which was on sale, but I was very disappointed in how small it was, so I returned it.

I love this pattern! The teacup is so different. It is made in England, which is rare these days. The price was unbelievable! It was less than half that if other retailers. Will be buying more.

Spode Blue Italian

Absolutely in love. I received most of my dishes from my bridal showers, but now have a total of 16 place settings. Perfect to use for every day (dishwasher and microwave safe), but can also be used for a formal table setting as well. I don't have to worry about this pattern being discontinued, so it is very easy to continue to add pieces to my collection. I will cherish these for years to come.
