I bought 4 packages and attached them to the top of my craft table forming a 3x5 area. I held them together using the included tape This created a pinnable surface for tracing patterns on muslin. When ready to cut I cover it with my large cutting mat. These squares are 3/16" or 5mm thick which is NOT on the package.

These tiles are great. I used them under the aquarium tank, they are very effective in insulating from the heat from the radiator on which my tank is sitting. I also use them as placemats for dinner places. They are really well priced, high quality and always available at Joann. Very good purchase.
