I read the measurements and knew this would fit for my front porch but didnt realize you couldnt hang it from the first link thats attached. So the measurements were wrong on the description of you cant hang from the first loop. We zip tied it and took off the S hook and it works fine. Also, for some reason the instructions that came in the box were for a completely different light. We didnt mind because we know how to install lights but still.

We bought to replace the aging porch ceiling fans and lights on our front porch. Since our porch, windows , and door are all trimmed in white, these were a perfect match, and the right size without being overbearing. We installed A19 (60w equivalent LED bulbs into each one, and there is plenty of light to light up the full length of our 8 by 35 porch. There is plenty of chain and cord length for most porch heights, and these are light enough in weight that they can hang with normal ceiling junction boxes.

This relaced a post light that was damaged in one of our New England storms. It was installed within 15 minutes and I just love it. The quality is good and the beveled plastic distributes the light very well. It has a strong colonial look for both day and night. Totally satified with the price as well. There is no comparison to those in local electric suppliers.

Bought this to replace a good working outdoor fixture because I wanted to install a LIFX BR30+ bulb. Install was simple enough ( I have zero previous experience installing lighting or anything with electricity). Instructions were a joke but a little common sense when removing the old light and you can easily figure out how to install this as a replacement.

These lights are beautiful. The look way more expensive that they are. The same lights, at a BIG home improvement store, are double the price! . . This is my first purchase with Houzz and will not be my last.

Wish this was 2 bulb for more lighting, but the body itself is excellent. Frame is not steel, magnet doesn't stick. Probably aluminum? Tings like a metal. Metal finish is very good. Straight and no misshapen parts. It is also glass. Curved glass pieces at this price, surprising. But this will let rain inside. Glass pieces are half caulked but caulking is not for water proofing. To hold the glass. Bottom plate has a hole to drain out water. I think it will be possible to caulk the flat pieces inside and outside to keep most of the water out. Use black silicone. The top is held by 2 screws. Grease the screws. If not, probably will corrode and become impossible to open. I assume the socket will work. I chose this for all around open faces. Because this is on a pole, lights with closed bottom casts a shadow on a walkway. edit: It is aluminum. Scratched off little paint and it's shiny. Glass can be confirmed by looking at the cut edge. Plastic won't stay clear for maximum light. I would caulk the bottom edge at least. The fixture has a drain hole but may become plugged quickly-spiders.

This was a purchase for my mom, and she's happy so everyone's happy. Inside, it didn't look quite bright white, but outside it matches the post just fine. Keep in mind, the clear part is not glass, but plastic. Easy to install; two non-electrically inclined ladies installed it without electrocuting ourselves so it was a good day. :)

Very Attractive Light Fixture

Simple but beautiful light fixture. Puts out a lot of light. Just what was needed for our front porch. Would purchase again.

Easy To Install

We finally put up these lantern lights in our entryway and they look great! They are on the smaller side, but our entryway is narrow and the ceiling in there is a bit low, so it worked perfect for us. The price was relatively low and they were easy to install. My husband did them himself, and he's never installed a light before.

I used this to replace a 30 year old post lamp. The old worked fine. The only problem with it, the fixture was not tall enough to handle the newer LED light bulbs. This is not only good looking, but tall enough to handle the newer LED bulbs. I'm using a 100 watt equivalent LED buld made by Phillips that consumes 14.5 watts of power. The light coming out of this fixture looks great at night. It kind of looks like a mini light house.
