A precision toaster.

We really like this toaster. We have had an identical one for maybe a decade but it was finally ready for replacement. I was so pleased to find this still available at Williams Sonoma. It toasts slowly and precisely and the Lift and Look feature helps me determine my perfect setting. We also use it for hamburger buns and bagels with excellent results.

Great Purchase

We love our new toaster. All the functions work perfectly. Appreciate the “lift and look” feature so we can check to see if the bread is toasted to our liking. It is also a very attractive toaster.

Loved it for 2 years (very light use) until it died

We were using this toaster once or twice a week. At first, we loved it so much, we decided to also purchase a Compact Smart Oven. A couple months ago, the middle elements stopped working so we get beautiful toasting on one side and nothing on the other. The toaster didn't make it 2 years with light use. Other toasters we've had lasted years. I'm very disappointed. After calculating out the cost of the toaster vs. how many times it has been used it, we have eaten some very expensive toast! :(

Good for awhile

I loved this toaster till it started on fire and I wasn't even using it! It was burning inside and all plastic on top was in flames! I know your company won't do anything about this as I got it for my 79th birthday and don't have any paper work on it.It was a faulty toaster and I can't afford another one.

Worked great, until it didn't.

Worked great for a few years. Then, tiny flame seen at the end of the slot. The middle element on one side no longer works. I am tempted to buy another one, because I like the plastic housing I don't have to polish, and the long slots, and the settings: bagel, frozen, "a bit more." I have gotten used to those! However, other people have had the same thing happen to them.

Didn't last

Worked well until right after the one year warranty expired. The inside coils on both slots stopped working. Also very strange I could not find a serial number. Disappointed.

A toaster you can trust.

Works great! Makes cold bread warm. Definitely not a cylon.

Toaster turns on automatically

I absolutely loved this toaster when I bought it 6 weeks ago- love the features and my kids think the lift and look is so cool. Unfortunately it started turning on automatically when plugged in and this morning I noticed the plastic is all melted. Have to unplug it now every time I’m done using it so my house doesn’t burn down. I have sent an email to Breville, hopefully they will make it right. I’ve probably only used it 10 times.

The perfect toaster for different kinds of bread

We love this toaster. It toasts 4 regular sandwich bread slices at a time or two much longer slices from large round loaves. The mouth easily accepts large bagels slices and there is a button so it only toasts one side.

Not fully functional

We have been happy with this toaster but after some months one of the bread slots has ceased to work. As having a double toaster was the reason for purchasing this is a real let down.

I forgot how great a toaster was....

I gave up my toaster years ago when I bought a breville toaster oven, then gave that up when I purchased an air fryer. I was using the air fryer for toast, although it always dried out my bread. This toaster makes perfect toast. I love the bagel feature and the "a little more" feature.

Beautiful toaster

The first one that we received, the middle coils did not work, so it only toasted on one side of the bread, and we had to return it. The replacement works great so far and we love the look of this toaster as it matches our kitchen. Overall it’s an awesome toaster!

Beware...

I bought a new one of these because I like the appearance of it. My last one, some of the burners went out on the inside, and this one only toasts part of the bread. No matter what level it is on, the crusts on the ends get burned and the middle isn't brown/toasted at all. This new one is worse. You'd think for the price, it would be a more efficient toaster.

Died at 13 months

I loved this toaster and then a little after the 1 year mark it died. I'm sorry but I think a higher quality toaster like this should last at least 5 years. I will not be buying this model/brand again.

Disapointed

This was a replacement for the exact same model that lasted 8years. I am sorry to say this new one is less than 1 year old and the middle toasting grids have gone completely out. I bought this one because I have had good luck with breville and the previous toaster lasted so long for me, Also, I need to fit the toaster in a certain space with the controls on the end, so this one is a perfect fit.t

I loved this toaster while it was working

I was trying to find a toaster that would meet my needs and not break prematurely and be another disposable piece of junk. I thought I'd found that with this model, and for the 14 months that it was working it was great. It's beyond the manuf 1 year warranty, but I had bought the extended warranty which I'm pursuing now. Hopefully that will be resolved quickly.

Not as good as they used to be

I once before bought an identical toaster and was very satisfied with. So, when it stopped working I decided to buy another one. I'm sorry to say, it does not work as well as my first one. The toast burns around the edges before it toasts the bread in the center.

Like the other reviews, it breaks after less than a year

I wish that I'd paid closer attention to these reviews before buying this toaster, as they're all correct. We were replacing an old, cheap toaster and this one looked great. When we got it, we were so happy with it - it toasted evenly and reliably, the "lift and look" and "a little bit more" features are so handy, and it fits all shape and size of bread items. Unfortunately within a year the interior heating elements have stopped completely on one side and are only working at about 30% on the other side, so now it only toasts with the outer heating elements. This isn't a cheap toaster and it's really disappointing to see such a basic issue after a very short time. I trusted Breville as a much more reliable brand than this, and I'm sad to find out that their quality isn't what I thought.
