Our whole family is enjoying this shower system. When it showed up we were so eager to see it as the box was so dynamic and inviting. The installers were thrilled with how easy it went in. They only charged me for an hour of install time. I echo what the other reviews said about the pictures in the instruction manuel. They are more artistic than instructional. Take the measurement for the supports off the actual system. Our shower system turned out great and we love that we can let our conditioner rest in our hair and still use the side panel to keep that spa experience going.

Great “BUT”

Since installation of our shower tower the temperature control knob has been a problem. It turns very easy to the hot side but you really have to work it to get it to turn back to the cold side. Not a problem if you are happy with setting it to one temperature but if you would like to cool the water down while you are showering it becomes a problem. I was hoping that it would work itself out but it never did. It feels like something is caught in the threads. Other than that the shower is fantastic. We love the jets and the fact that we can run all jets at the same time. I think we just got one that has a bad valve but the quality of the rest of the shower panel is great.

Not too shabby

I really like this shower system.....now that it’s installed. Install isn’t very clear as too dimensions for the hanging brackets. It’s up to you to figure exactly where everything is mounted. Also, not sure why, but they decided to mount the connection for the hand held wand at the bottom. Unless you mount this panel VERY high, the hose hangs on the floor. I ended up buying a universal wand holder and mounted that on the wall up higher.

[Rewarded Review] Repair cost every two years: $200!

I purchased this item at another retailer in 2017. As I was having major construction, the shower wasn’t actually installed for 10 months. Then I had to wait for the shower door for another month and a half. Once I started using the shower it functioned for about seven months then the thermostat went out. With other construction the plumber came out and said it would have to have a new thermostat. By the time I Contacted vigo to get a new thermostat it was out of warranty. The new thermostat, which cannot be purchased retail, is $45, plus a $10 shipping charge, plus plumber charges To take down the system, repair it, put it back up, and caulk it. So something that cost $400, will cost $200 every two years to fix it!

If you want to pay $150 to fix it every two years, go for it!

The thermostat control is only guaranteed two years! Mine went out (no hot water) and by the time I got a plumber here it was past the two-year period. It costs $45 to get a new one and then you have to pay $10 to ship it, then the plumber costs! It is only sold directly from Vigo. If you Google, there are a lot of people who have problems with the thermostat. Now I have to hire a plumber to take it down replace the thermostat, re-caulk so that will work again. So now it will be a $600 mediocre shower! Don’t buy this product!

It worked great for about 5 or 6 years.....

I absolutely loved this once we had it installed. It has worked well for a few years, but after 6 years, the shower rain head began to have a steady drip. When I called Vigo, they told me I needed a specific part, but I have to remove the shower panel, to measure the flow volume control part and then I can order the part. Vigo makes 8 different sizes of this specific part and they don't know which one is in mine until I measure it. So hire a plumber to come out, take apart to measure, put back together, order the part. Once part arrives, have plumber come out and take apart again, install, then put it all back together again. I can't wait to see how much we will be paying a plumber to come out twice. The part is only $35.00. This process is a total pain in the butt. Turn off the water supply to the house, uninstall shower panel and disassemble, measure and you have to reassemble the shower and re-install again. You have to be able to turn the water back on for your home. Then wait for a part to arrive and schedule another visit for the plumber. Why don't you guys know which part is in each shower panel??? I wish I had a normal shower head.....

A problem ... but the company responded perfectly!

UPDATE: I contacted Vigo about this issue recently and they have responded very positively, checking out the problem and standing by their warranty. I have bought other products from them in the past and all have been great! I would buy from them again as the products are generally very high quality. I believe this particular problem is a one-off and they are standing behind their products. I am quite satisfied with their customer service after the purchase. OLD: I have had this installed about a year and a half. I love the look but the coating on the stainless steel (whatever it is) is coming off, leaving a "blotchy" finish. I haven't used any cleaners except a foaming spray designed for sinks and tubs. It doesn't look like it is peeling, it just has obvious spots on it. It even has spots at the top now, which, actually, hasn't been cleaned particularly because it is up by the shower head. I have only used soft water. Very disappointed. I did add a hand held bar since the holder is very low on the unit. On the plus side, it has great pressure (I put in 3/4" lines) even when all the nozzles and heads are operating and it looks really nice other than the spots. My plumber said it was easy to install, also.

Looks very well put together.

My Vigo (VG08005) shower panel is not installed as of this date but I spent several minutes looking over the shower panel. It seems to be assembled very well. Could find no loose lines and the knobs seem to be installed with a close tight fit. All the knobs turn as expected. Quality of this product is stainless steel with chrome metal or a very high quality plastic chrome plated knobs. It just feels well made. The jets have small rubber tips that would allow you ease of cleaning by rubbing your fingers across the tips if you have any hard water build up on the shower jets or head. By my inspection of this uninstalled unit, I couldn't find anything to complain about and if all works when installed my 5 start rating will be justified. I can only say I did my research and this panel came up as one that pleased most of its users as a quality product. I also will note that my research shows that this company Vigo offers a high degree of customer service. It was easy working with our sales consultant .. Mr. Davison ext: 5361 and would use his advice again.
