One of the tension springs broke from the trim piece while installing . I was able to salvage the trim piece with a small wire to reattach the spring. I have installed similar trim pieces in the past with no problem so I do know the correct procedure. Based on my experience I can not recommend this product.

Both hinges broke
My house is 13 yrs old & both of the hinges broke & the trim fell into the shower. I don't think I have pulled it down more than once to replace the bulb.

Shower recessed light trim fit perfectly
This house flip needed everything including trim for the can lights in the shower and over the garden tub. This replacement fit perfectly and looks great. Installation was simple and easy. I had previously tried those screw in LED replacements but they were not shallow enough to fit in the existing can fixture.

True 8" diameter ring for 6" recessed fixture
This shower light cover is a conventional design of metal ring, glass lens and tensioned wire fasteners, but this item measures a full 8 inches in diameter, while most others are a bit smaller. A tile cutting error led me to search for a slightly larger ring and this one did the trick. Service was very fast and the item was delivered well packaged and as described, within 2-3 days of my order. I'm very satisfied with this product.
