[Rewarded Review] Love my Brother!

I recently got the Brother CP60X to replace my early 00’s Husqvarna Huskystar 219. I wanted more stitches and knew any heavy duty stitching would be done by a ‘58 Singer I inherited. This machine has been tested and does what it is advertised to do! Don’t expect to easily sew jeans or dense quilting. For basic stuff, this is perfect! I have made several tote bags, a plush, some sewing accessories, and a cover for the machine. It puts up some fuss at thicker seams but nothing that a button or jean-a-ma-jig cannot handle. The nesting I have seen are the same I would get on my other machine…so user error. I definitely recommend the machine to beginners! Intermediate sewists may find this frustrating if trying to push it beyond its light to medium duty capabilities.

Please some one HELP me

There is NO light for stitch selector…. Many choices of stitches but hard to see setting with no light

Blue plate stitch

The blue plate that tells you what numbers to use for the stitches is almost unreadable. The print on this needs to be black.

Brother equals Quality

I haven't used it yet but I am excited. I am very familiar to the Brother label which has been around for decades.

LED needs backlighting

LED screen needs to have back lighting.

Won’t feed fabric and just knots up in the bobbin area and the “tutorials” are NOT model specific

CP60X not impressed

I intended to use this for piecing quilts, Every time I touch it it acts up this machine eats fabric constantly , even after cleaning, changing the needle, changing thread, changing bobbin....now it's nesting all of a sudden. It's spent more time in timeout than in use !! Maybe it's a fluke ? this is just got a bad one? IDK, but it is to the point I'm angry at it just looking at it & I am the most calm patient person you'll ever meet. I have a Brother XR9550 that I love . maybe this one is a fluke , the time/money it would take to return or take to a repair shop is more than what this machine is worth , Very disappointed!

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion of the product. My fiance makes custom outfits for his 6 inch DC and Marvel collectibles. The projects are small scale so one of his favorite things about this machine is the speed control. It helps with working with really small patterns.
