The seats were sealed in a plastic wrap which was stapled through the wood and hard to take off completely. Not sure why they won't just wrap it from outside. Some of the screws were missing from the package, which took a month almost to ship from the manufacturer. Overall not the best experience for an average looking chair.
I was nervous about the color of the wood but it is perfect for my table. The chairs are well-built and delivery was exceptional! I am quite happy with my purchase.
