Bowl developed crack after careful use and only hand washing

I’ve owned this food processor for several years. I use it very infrequently (maybe once every two months). I take extremely good care of it and wash it by hand after every use. However, just like other reviewers, a crack has developed at the base of the bowl near where the gear attaches to the motor. This is such a huge disappointment after investing a lot of money into this premium food processor and taking extremely good care of it. There is obviously a design flaw in this bowl given that so many people have experienced this problem. Breville, please fix this for us so we can enjoy your otherwise great product!

After doing research on many brands, I decided to buy an A Breville food processor and now I'm very glad I did. I used it whenever I was in the kitchen. So far all has worked very well. In particular, the long, very sharp blade helps me complete chopping more quickly. I think its overall performance is very remarkable. The only problem is that the Breville machine is a bit heavy, so I decided to keep it fixed on the stove instead of storing it in the cabinet after use. It's a bit noisy when operating, so I don't use it at all late at night. .

BIG Disappointment

we bought this based on rave reviews, but it sparked the moment it was plugged in and switched on. when contacting with breville customer support, they said the warranty was voided because the product was shipped (by Breville!) to outside the country. to double confirm - Breville shipped the product outside US to us and claimed product warranty is voided because it was shipped outside US

Best Processor I’ve Ever Owned, Even if the Paint is Falling Off the Base

I’m keeping this machine because it is beautifully designed and constructed, and does a great job. Removing and replacing the bowl has caused the paint to chip off the die cast base, revealing a white powder on the surface of the metal. I’m hoping this white powder is not toxic. I just try to keep it from getting into the food. I called Breville, and they stated that the problem was “only cosmetic,” and would therefore would not repair it, even though I offered to pay. I am therefore relying on Breville’s assertion that the machine is safe to use with food.

Worst food processor in the world

My husband bought this for me to replace an older one, and I absolutely despise it. I use it mainly to make homemade hummus on a regular basis, so just mushing up beans basically, and the bowl has cracked 4 times. There has to be some kind of design flaw causing this, and I strongly suggest against buying this for that reason. You will need to replace the bowl often, and it's been a huge pain to find one available/in stock, aside from the added expense. Just buy something else!

Replacing the bowl for the 4th time

Got this as a gift from my husband to replace my old one. I usually use it to make hummus and just a handful of other things, however, the bowl cracks so easily and quickly! I've had it maybe 2 years, and I'm here looking for a replacement bowl for the 3rd or 4th time already. Ridiculous given the price of this thing, and the bowls are really hard to come by as well. No luck on another major site, sold out on breville, and no luck here either. So now I have no food processor.

Amazingly Perfect...Used for something almost every day!

I have had other food processors but Breville puts them all to shame! It is AMAZING. The bowl is large enough to do double batches of my recipes. It blends, chops, shreds, & slices instantly. The attachments change out quickly. Storage of everything is perfect & clean up is a breeze. With a 25 years warranty on the motor...if this ?EVER? wears out purchasing another Breville WILL be a no-brainer! :)

Works great, plastic parts constantly breaking

Had a unit for a short time and already had issues with plastic part breakage. Super disappointing for a premium price. Expect to have order many plastic parts if you purchase or own one. Great chopping and processing otherwise.

Sous Chef 16 Pro

My husband bought it for me in OCtober of 2023, for my birthday. So far I have enjoyed it. The only con I have now is I have to buy the dices kit separate for another $135.00., and it also appears ai have to buy the dicing bowl it to is separate and over $100. I do a lot of food prep for my freeze dryer. I am now trying to decide if I should just buy a different dicer unit all together. I am heart broken that the dicer blades do not come with the Sous 16 Pro. For the price I wish I had just bought the Breville Dicing Pro, that is what I wanted I did not realize they were two totally separate unites.

This is fantastic food processor by Breville! Very easy to use and clean everything. It is also fast, durable and versatile. Would highly recommend

Breville sous chef 16 YES

The Breville sous chef 16 pro is awesome thus far. Seems more industrial than a regular kitchen food processor, which is good. I ordered the dicing and peeling compatibility kit as well as the dicing kit. There are quite a few components, so make sure you read dimensions, if storage is an issue. But everything comes in its own storage container, which is very convenient.

Best food processor ever. PERIOD.

Let me preface this by saying that I suffer from Mobility challenges so nearly everything I do, kitchen or otherwise, can sometimes be difficult without modifications/ adaptation.
