Great rainshower

Looking for a rainshower to match our existing fittings - this fit the bill. It looks nice, and gives a great shower. We had it installed, so I can't speak to the ease of install, but I heard no complaints on that front.

As we were finishing up our bathroom, our designer showed us this Hansgrohe rainshower - with an outrageous price. I quickly looked it up on my phone on Home Essentials Direct and found this - a great deal without the designer mark-up. No difference, just great value.

Beautiful, gentle, rain style showerhead. Uses "air power" to boost the feel. Its silvery, not yellow at all. The photos make it hard to tell. This is a solid feeling (and pretty heavy) metal shower head. It threads onto standard shower arms, or they have matching extensions if you want to ceiling mount it.

I recently stayed at a resort which had a similar size / style showerhead and I loved it. So I decided to get one for the home. Now I have a luxurious showering experience all the time! I love the feel of the spray. Although it is tough to describe, the water pressure is just right, not too strong but isn’t low either. The spray pattern widens a bit and provides great coverage with this 10-inch showerhead. The swivel ball was set tight from the factory, but it is easy to loosen it up a bit. Just use a padded pliers.

Raindance 240 1-Spray 10 in. Air Showerhead By Hansgrobe is one quality product by all measures. Design, functionality, superior manufacturing [solid brass, luxury ] and water feel. The air infused technology is very similar to a light rain, but not too light. You will get a refreshing clean shower feeling. The stream is strong enough for through rinsing. Even for thick hair. The 10 inch radius shower head with the spray coming out at 26 degree angles will cover every part of you. No special requirements for installation. Retrofits/ replacement are very easy. It basically comes apart for easy cleaning and water deposit removal. A must if you do not have perfect water. A superior shower performance. A true luxury product.

Another Hansgrohe quality product. You can feel the quality in this shower head as it is made of solid brass with a brushed nickel finish. VERY HIGH END. This is a/the shower head only. Some may need to but the extension pipe you can get from Hansgrohe, HD (another brand) our a local plumbing fixture store. A (pretty much) standard 12” extension will work and will still be a good height in a standard shower. This head mixes air and water for a “different” showering experience. Easy clean nozzle for hard water areas.

If you appreciate high-end quality and want a unique shower experience then this Hansgrohe Raindance 10 inch shower-head is for you. The high quality in both materials and workmanship is very apparent both visually and by feel. It is made of brass (not plastic or cheap metal) and is assembled using screws rather than glue or crimping. It’s large at 10 inches in diameter and has a gentle pulsing water flow (thus the name Raindance). The flow rate of 2.5 GPM is much better than some shower-heads we’ve had and fits our needs perfectly. The installation was very easy and straight-forward – there is a set screw that needs to be loosened slightly before attaching to the shower outlet and then tightened after it’s installed (unfortunately the Allen or Hex wrench wasn’t included). Overall, we are very pleased with this product and recommend it.

Amazing. I was skeptical that a shower head could make that much of a difference, but it's a real deal. The 10 inch shower head delivers a high volume, broad spray of water compared to my old 4 inch head, but it's more than just the volume of water. I'm not sure how the technology works, but the aerated water has a softer, relaxing feel to it. It's hard to describe, but you come out of the shower feeling cleaner and more refreshed than you do with a standard shower head. The shower head fits on a standard 1/2 inch OD thread like a standard head. It works well installed at an angle or horizontally. It has a standard swivel mount so you can direct the spray in just the right direction. And it's as easy to install as any standard shower head.

I really like this shower head. It is solid and installed well and adjusted easily. Best is using it. It feels great! Makes taking a shower in my tub shower seem special. It also looks great. The only reservation is the price. It is certainly not cheap. But it can also make a plain tub shower like mine seem much fancier than it is. I can't think of anything else that installs so easily that could make that much difference in how the bathroom feels to use.

This shower head is a solid spray head. I noticed as the water cascades down, I looks to me like the water has a slight pulse, like a rain shower pulsating down from the clouds. I have a large head and the shower head covers my whole head and a little of my shoulders. The volume of water is supposed to be 2.5 GPM and believe that would be correct. Installation is easy as can be. Anyone with adjustable wrench and a piece of Teflon tape should be able to handle the install. It took me about 5 minutes. The shower head can be swiveled slightly from below where it attaches to water supply pipe. Instructions are mainly illustrations and could be better described but instructions would not even be needed for most homeowners. Warranty is for as long as the original owner owns the home and product.

I purchased a rain shower head hoping for like that drenching rain spa-like shower experience. That is not the case. It's maybe 50% amount of water that I would expect. In terms of washing off soap and shampoo lather, it's does wash off the lather, but you need to help it with your hands. The water itself doesn't do it alone. Most of the time, I just use the body/handheld spray to wash my off soap/shampoo lather. As a reference, my water pressure is 70 psi.

Buy this one it's AMAZING! After spending a fortune to remodel my bathroom I went cheap for a shower head the first time...Don't do it! Some people say it is not forceful enough to rinse your hair good enough. My wife begs to differ. She loves the gentle rain flow and it rinses fine. It is not cheap but you know the old saying!

Works great. Just like real rain. My only complaint is that there isn't enough clearance to fit a spanner wrench on the stem nut. The actual stem is really close to the rotating ball so if you try to use a spanner wrench it will strip the stem nut. A 17mm wrench must be used. Personally, I feel that a shower head at this price point would have everything near perfect and I didn't find that to be the case. Especially since a $19.99 shower head from WallyWorld has plenty of space for tightening the stem nut.

We have had multiple homes with rain shower baths and have always used higher grade heads. After reading about the water disbursement system in this head we decided to compare it to the Moen Waterhill head. For a better rainfall experience the larger diameter heads are important, both of these are 9” heads that cover a larger body portion. Both heads are rated at 2-5 GPM. I always remove the restrictor for maximum flow. The Moen provided good even coverage but was a more traditional flow with a finer water droplet. The Hansgrohe has more outlets the drops are larger for a relaxing gentle feel. Although the water rates are the same the air injection in the Hansgrohe seems to require a little longer to remove soap however the feel was more relaxed. One other thing we noted was the amount of water splatter is also less. We have large glass enclosure and are particular to clean the glas after each shower and there is much less water on the glass with this head. I contribute the less splatter to the air in the droplets. While both are good heads we opted for the Hansgrohe relaxing feel.

Wow, I get covered in water and can rinse my hair fine!

I finally have my bathroom remodel done and I love this shower head. I have it centered in a 36" x 62" (inside measurement) shower and it does the job as well as I could have expected. It is everything I hoped a rain head would be.
