Squeaky and ring gets loose over time

Everytime the ring swings up or down when the towel is replaced, it makes a high pitched squeaking sound. Also, over time, the joint on the ring loses its friction and swings down more quickly than it first did. I guess this is what you get for opting for a lower quality brand. Have had issues with other Signature Hardware brand items.
