understated elegance

Just installed two of these, in brushed nickel finish, in bedrooms. Impressed by the quality of the finish and shade. It does have a noticeable seam as others have mentioned but by spinning it around it presents beautifully as you enter each room. The trick to an easy installation for me was to "dry fit" everything on the ground so that I could set the centre bolt depth correctly to ensure I was allowing enough thread depth to fasten the glass. This made quick work of the overhead installation.

In my case, the glass disk was a very tight fit for the shade, and I ended up shattering the disk just from the pressure of pushing upward. I have two, and the second one was OK, so it's just variability. I was given a refund without needing to return it.

Finicky install but pretty light

I’m happy with the light, but install was difficult. It was finicky to put up, but once installed it’s pretty in my master bedroom. Great colour.

Good quality for price

This flush mount light is perfect for our bathroom. The quality and price were very good and the fixture was easy to install. Would recommend.

A great alternative to a "boob light". Be warned that there is a gap between the shade and the ceiling that gets some illumination, so if you'd rather not have your ceiling texture highlighted, skip this fixture.

Beautiful simple modern light

The Inspire progress light is beautiful! I recently replaced all of the older light fixtures that looked like a certain anatomy. I needed one for my hallway and couldn’t decide on a fixture. This one went perfectly in the space, it’s neutral colors so it will never be out of style I like that it meshes well with my modern farmhouse look while still looking nice and clean. It was really easy to install because I had already had a light in place so I can’t speak to a brand new install as I was simply replacing. I didn’t need the directions but they’re in the box and easily readable.

Nice light

The light looks nice and was easy enough to install. It has a simple, clean, classic look, which was a nice upgrade from our existing light fixture. However, when the light is on, it casts a shadow on the ceiling, which I don't love. The diagrams included in the direction weren't always super clear, but overall it's was pretty straightforward and quick to install

Pretty light!

I love the look of this lamp. We got rid of a very old lamp and put this in its place. It is much more modern. It brings a good amount of light to our front entryway. It appears well made. It was definitely a two man job to install. It took us nearly an hour to get it all set up. Changing out the lightbulbs will be a bit of a pain because you have to remove the glass bottom. We made sure to get some long lasting lightbulbs to go in it so no need to mess with it for a long time!

Very clean and simple

This Progress Lighting Inspire light is such a great upgrade compared to the outdated vintage glass ceiling light. This gives off a soft light for the room and looks very complete and sophisticated. This was easy and fast to install. It's a one-man job! I wouldnt hesitate to replace my other glass ceiling light with the Inspire. *My photo is showing my second room light change plan.

Nice light fixture

This light is very eye catching and pleasing to look at in your home. It provides a good bit of light and is a nice touch to my hallway. The only downside was it a bit more difficult to install then I’d hoped. It just wasn’t fitting right and then eventually it all came together and it looks great. It has a glass bottom and then their is a lamp shade type of circle that surrounds the light bulbs.

Installation of this light was aggravating because the included ...

Installation of this light was aggravating because the included bolts to hold the base were not long enough. I subsequently found longer bolts and solved the problem. An installation that should have taken 10 minutes was complicated by the lack of adequate bolt length. Other than that, the lights are attractive.

This is a really beautiful drum light for the price. All the pieces were there. The instructions were relatively good, but it did take a little figuring to get it hung outside of that. I couldn’t find another drum shade That was the right size for such an economical price point. I highly recommend!

Classy Option

We now have 3 of these in our home and they really dress up the house. They seem classic enough to last through trends. I was able to use multi-purpose paint to actually paint one navy blue for my son's room; it worked well. I give it 4 stars because installing the glass piece is a little challenging, the instructions aren't sufficient. Be careful not to make too tight or the glass will break. The company was great to replace our glass for free, but it is backordered for about 3 months. Otherwise, great, affordable, classy light fixture!

Great looking light fixtures! I gave 4 stars because installation was a little trickier than other light fixtures we have installed. On this one, you have to line up 2 screws exactly right to get the base on the ceiling. With others, it’s a simple twist mechanism. In the end, these look great...just takes a little longer to install and uses your arm muscles a little more!

Love love love the way this light looks!

Bought this light for my upstairs landing and it fit the bill! The light is elegant and subtle. I have a farmhouse or shabby chic decorated home--mostly white. I love the light because it looks like it's made from linen--vey simple and chic. A great value for the money. Looks exactly as pictures.

Pretty nice quality, especially for the price. Unfortunately, the hardware and instructions were missing on mine, but the manufacturer was quick to send new hardware. Mounting the shade was a bit of an issue because the threaded rod was barely long enough. I had to compress the glass bottom of the shade a little more than I was comfortable with to get the nut to engage, but it didn’t crack so I guess it’s okay.

good looking light but it has issues

The light looks good once installed but as other review have said installation is a pain (we bought and installed 2 in bedrooms). Nothing fits quite right. We had to add washers under the circle caps holding the fixture up because the screw were too long. Also, the glass is hard to put up as the center bolt it attaches too is to short. A little tip to help with the glass, the prongs that attach the shade to the fixture bend. If you bend them towards the floor slightly it will raise the shade just a little closer to the ceiling and give you enough room to attach the glass.
