Valence is very wrinkly and looks terrible. Customer service was very poor too and would not accept a return without charging $40 for shipping. Be very cautious with this company! Would not recommend.

The review that says it does not shut off completely is wrong. It both dams and shuts off from the switch at the base. It is stunning and finish and design.
Horrible...never shut off completely
These are beautiful, but never shut off completely. It's not noticeable during the daytime, but at night they both maintained a soft glow....definitely not what I want hanging over the bed. I had to pay an electrician to install them, then uninstall them so I could return them so these were a very costly mistake. Efforts to reach the manufacturer went unanswered.

Lovely lamps - beautiful! But not dimmable
Purchased 2 for bedroom as they were 95% dimmable, and I liked that they had a upper/lower "lid" so you don't see any bulb(s). Hired a licensed electrician for hardwire install; he had to return 2nd day with dimmer switches. Dimmer hardware was not included with lamp, which I didn't realize as the description said the lamp had a "dimmer stem". But, after review, the online product detail does document that the dimmer switch is not included. Odd for a $300 lamp, but, OK. My oversight. While the lamps look/function beautifully at full brightness for bedside reading or laptop/tablet, they are not dimmable with the separately purchased dimmer switch. Electrician had to remove the dimmer switches after the lamps buzzed and wouldn't function on dim shortly after install. So for now, they are just on/off. No dimmer function.

Nice quality but doesn't power up normally
Have to use switch on fixture to operate the light. Could be an issue issue if mounted too far from bed.
