The tree arrived extremely well

The tree arrived extremely well packed (it needed to. The delivery driver left the box on its side. Lord knows how many other positions the box was in before that.) Nevertheless, the tree was completely unharmed. It arrived in perfect condition, far exceeded our expectations and is a gorgeous tree! Since we unpacked it, the tree has lost around two or three leaves. That's it. It is truly perfect and we are thrilled with our purchase!

I absolutely love how my

I absolutely love how my wee Fukien was packaged! With loving care, it arrived to me in Oregon and there was very little shedding of its leaves upon arrival. It’s been a couple weeks now and it still hasn’t gone through any sort of shock. It is exactly as pictured online and I’m so happy with this purchase. Thank you Bonsai Outlet, for having the real thing available!

Poor customer service

I received a Fukien flowering tree for my wife for Christmas. As stated in their info the tree would lose its leaves but regrow them. The tree did indeed lose leaves and eventually start to regrow leaves on the bottom half. The top 2/3 was completely dead. I trimmed the dead off and notified the company. They wanted pics of the tree as I received it and declined to make it right by giving me a refund or replacement. How would they know the top part was dead by a pic? If that’s the way they do business I’d steer clear.

Purchased as a Christmas gift

We bought this tree for our daughter-in-law from her Christmas list. We were able to hold onto it for a number of days before giving it to her, allowing new growth to start, and to clean out the old dead leaves and flowers. I’ve already remarked to my wife now that this is gone that I’d like to get a bonsai of my own.

Not sure

This plant arrived well packed with many many well attached green leaves. However, the plant was very light because the soil was dry. The tree is now almost devoid of leaves despite my watering it at appropriate intervals. I’m concerned it may not survive!

fukien tea

When I received the plant it was dry and cold. Dropped half of the leaves in 3 days. Pruned all of the weak leaves and gave fertilizer and micrototal. Still whimpy with nominal new growth. All of my other trees from you are doing well. I would be pleased if you replaced this one.

I love it

I was concerned buying a plant through the mail but it was packaged perfectly and was in great condition! My husband let it be for a week or two and then trimmed it up with the trimmers we got in the care kit and it is beautifully. He’s an old tree trimmer for the electric company and he said he trimmed it just like he would trim a full sized tree! Lol

Beautiful Fukien Tea Bonsai Tree, arrived flowering!

The loveliest flowering tree that arrived in perfect packing. It is a delight to have such a healthy Bonsai in our home. The Fukien Tea tree had a few tiny white flowers blooming. Within a months time it was covered with glorious blooms. There was minimal leaf drop. The overall size is much larger than expected. It's a beaut!

Large Fukion Tea

Got this yesterday and am very pleased with it. Size was as stated. I was concerned that it might be damaged during shipment but arrived in near perfect condition with one very small branch broken at the end - would have pruned it anyway. Be warned though that the packing material is foam peanuts and believe me if you order a large tree you will have peanuts everywhere when you open the box! Don’t attempt to extract the tree by pulling/lifting it out - use a razor knife and slice off one side of the box - peanuts will go everywhere but at least the tree won’t be damaged. Good company, I will order again.

Very nice tree. Saw the UPS truck pull up and the man handle the box very roughly. Was worried about a damaged tree, no need! Fantastic packing. Tree is healthy and blooming. Could not be happier!

Arrived barely alive

I was disappointed with this purchase. I ordered it for my girlfriend while I was in Ranger school. I was told by her that it lost the few leaves it had shortly after arrival (which the company says is normal). However, it never seemed to pick back up and grew only a few leaves before dying completely. She received the tree the same day she found out that 2 of my friends died during mountain phase training, so there was quite a bit of sentiment involved for her in wanting the tree to live. She does great with all her other plants, and has quite a bit of experience with growing house plants. I doubt she is the reason the tree died, but, unfortunately, the return policy does not cover this situation.

Arrived Alive! Growing Like Crazy

Although the box arrived on its side, the two bonsai I ordered were packed so tightly that there was no damage. And the tree lost no leaves during shipment. It now sits happily under two bright grow lights in my school office with a small diffuser next to it for humidity. Will need a trim soon!

Early Christmas present

My bonsai is beautiful! The original one got sent to the wrong place and customer service was awesome. They made sure that one came to the correct address within a few days. The bonsai has had minimal leaf drop and already has some new leaves coming in.

Fukien Tea Bonsai was infected with scales.

My daughter purchased me a beautiful 12-year old Fukien Tea Bonsai for my birthday in December 2019. Within a months time the tree started dropping more leaves than expected. Upon careful inspection and a lot of research I was able to identify the problem as scales. Most people said that it was the kiss of death. I tried using organic sprays and an insecticide specifically for bonsai trees. To no avail I was unsuccessful in saving the tree and 3 months later it was dead. I eventually took it back to Home Depot and was refunded the full amount in store credit.

Excellent!

My purchase came within two days, and the bonsai was very, very well packaged. Everything was in the package that was detailed to come, including a little care booklet. The tree is tall, full of dark green leaves, and looks wonderfully healthy. It’s not trimmed/trained exactly as the picture depicts, but it is pretty similar so with some careful trimming it could look the same. It also seems very easy to take care of, and it already has little white flowers! There are absolutely no flaws that I can pick out. I’m sure the recipient will be very pleased with her bonsai. My personal opinion, cute tree, but!?

Cute tree! I’d like to share my personal shopping experience and personal opinion, since I am a truly review reader and walmart lacks of some cuatomer’s reviews. The tree arrived this time not very healty, why!? Well, the Fedex deiver decided not to ring the bell and just dumped the package (tree inside) under direct crazy sun in El Paso Texas, I inmediately took it out of the box and did my best woth it. I really trust this vendor with packaging ( a well done job) now it does not match the description of the walmart website, yes, i understand that no tree is equal to another, but i am savy enough to tell that this medium fukien tea tree is not 6 yrs old as specified. Now, I will keep it, just because I feel there is a posibility to be a good bonsai, but honestly I am not fully satisfied. I feel i can get the same tree without the pot in store for 12 dlls with the advange of choosing my own. Let’s revise now: will i buy the same tree it again from this vendor? Only if on sale, otherwise I rather stay away from this gambling game.

Disapointed

While the tree does look similar to the one pictured, there are some serious issues. First and foremost the central trunk of my tree looks like it grew too tall so they just cut off the top part. This has left and ugly and abrupt end to the trunk of my tree, which in itself would be a deal breaker for me had I known it would look like this. Whats worse is that the central trunk and branches have scars all over them from the wiring Bonsaioutlet left on for far too long. Not only are there scars but there are actual pieces of wire embedded in my trunk and branches that I'm not sure I can get out without harming the tree, and even if I do get them out it would leave an ugly scar. Over all I am quite unhappy with this purchase, and would advise you caution when purchasing.
