Not sure yet, all different shades throughout

I applied the Cabot Australian Timber Oil, Honey Tek about two weeks ago. After several years trying the Thompson (not good) and then Home Hardware brand (which was the worst, flaked off the following summer). I purposely wanted something with spirits of some kind in the stain to soak into the wood and it appears to have done that but with a blotchy pattern. The pattern is all over the place. I used 4 pails on a deck 8'x42', hand rails and all. I'm not totally happy with the job but if it doesn't peal I may use it again. Allot of work, pressure washing, sanding, and applying.

Excellent product, just pressure wash wood first

I use it every 2-3 years on all of my outdoor wood. Deck, benches, swingset, ramps for shed, wood sides for trailer, and the like. It slowly fades over a few years. It does not peel or chip as it has an oil base. After 2-3 years, I pressure wash everything and apply another light coat. Everything looks new again and I'm good for a few more years. Great product for those who want a natural wood look and who are the ounce of prevention type. My wood looks new and it's over 15 years old.
