Excellent Stove w/ Powerful Burners

The point of buying a stove like this is to never buy another stove. You want the right mix of features and durability. The stove is heavy. I want it heavy as this is often a good indication of materials used. The folding legs are superior to the earlier design which used detachable legs with thumb screws. The side shelves can handle heavy cast iron griddles. The stove stays lit at a low flame level with a moderate breeze.

Great Stove Perfect Solution for RV Camping

Overall I'm happy with the stove. I thought I'd jump on here and leave a long term review of this set up. I've owned the stove for approximately three years now. It's been the perfect solution to cook outside when RV camping. We utilize this with the grill box, griddle and regular stove top. I love the powerful BTUs it puts out, and the foldable portability is perfect so that we can easily fold this up and store it away in our RV's storage compartments. What I'm not pleased with is the quality of the materials/finish and I'm concerned about the stoves longevity. Like I said, I've owned this stove for about 3 years with maybe 5-10 uses a year and this unit is rarely ever exposed to wet weather the a few times a year we use it while camping. Yet, this unit is showing excessive rust/deterioration for its age in my opinion. I feel like for the price point I ought to be able to see many more years out of a stove like this before seeing it start to fall apart. We live in a dry climate so I'm surprised to see all this considering I have a Camp Chef Pellet Grill that's sat out in the sun and weather for 5 years constantly and does not show a fraction of deterioration that this stove has.

[Rewarded Review] Rust bucket!

I’ve been very disappointed in this grill. The inside of the frame has become nothing but a rust bucket despite always keeping it covered (& putting away for winter) and treating with cast iron conditioner etc. so frustrating. Cooked great before I didn’t have to worry about having my tetanus shot.

Solid camping stove

Ready to go right out of the box. The red side panels are essential for cooking. Set up easy. Delivered when promised.

Quality

Had a the 3 burner model that went with our old trailer when it was sold so this is a replacement. We didn't need the capacity of the 3 burner stove anymore so opted for this because we got nearly 20 years from or 3 burner with ZERO issues and loved it. This is every bit that just slightly downsized. We use the full width griddle for nearly every thing. I added a 12' propane line so I can connect it directly to our RV propane and have a pig tail for those times I need to connect to a 20# tank with an acme connection.

Great stove

I bought this stove last year and really enjoy it! It’s a little pricey but worth it. The fact I don’t have to use a lighter to light is the best part. I own a tire shop and sometimes I cook food for my dad it really comes in handy and it’s great to have when the hurricanes come .

Just Okay

The stove works well once set up, but fit and finish is really rough and makes it difficult to set up and move the stove. One leg on my unit came with a nonfunctional locking mechanism and there is no way to secure the two red side tables when the unit is being moved. If you carry it by the handle they swing out.

Very good cooker -Takes time to familiarize

Your specific needs will dictate whether this is a good cooktop for you. I cook all kinds of things and the 30k burners are fantastic for stir fry. I was tired of setting up 3-4 cookers to be able to cook the things I like and with the accessories this cooker can do so much. The folding wings make good prep areas (don't put really heavy things on them) and the portability is very nice. One of the best features is the adjustable legs. Other grills I own (I own many) require some kind of leveling devices under the legs but this one you just screw the legs in or out. It IS heavy so bear that in mind which limits the portability to a degree. The carrying case is very handy IMO. Initially I hated it but I didn't work with it enough...now I have two. The RV quick connect would not put out enough LP to run both high output burners which was rectified by using a 20lb. tank for the cooker. Now I have the 2nd one sitting on the patio for throwing together quick whatevers. With the accessories (and be sure to get a good hammered steel wok) this one makes my dozen other ones more or less obsolete so they are in the barn.

Flexibility!

Since we bought this for memorial day and didn’t get a chance to use it all summer I was starting to have buyers remorse. But after using it one long weekend I’m in love. We bought the griddle and the grill accessories. One of my favorite things is that which ever one I’m not using acts is a warmer as I continue cooking other food. I literally planned an entire three day weekend of cooking around my new camp chef cooking system even though we have a camper with a stove and oven. I wasn’t sure I needed the pro with the flip out shelves but now I can’t imagine not having them. Worth every penny.

Shelves are not level

I have had multiple Camp Chef Stoves. We recently replaced an Expedition 3X with a Pro 14. One of the features I though would be really nice is the shelves. The only problem is when the shelves are open they are not level. It looks like the mounting bracket for the handle which supports the shelf isn't designed properly because it angles up which makes the shelves not level. Not sure if mine is defective (since the picture on the website looks very level) or is this is just the intended design (and the picture on the website is misleading). I'm sure it will still cook the way I'm used to from my previous Camp Chef stoves, but I'm a little disappointed in the shelves.

Perfect for two with accessories available to fit

I read countless reviews and watched a mess of videos on YouTube before pulling the trigger on this camp stove. I almost bought a lesser model, with plans to add shelves because I could not find it in stock anywhere. I was happy to find it available here and am glad I looked harder. The little extras of this stove make it a no-brainer. It has literally everything I needed. And the shelves are handy for mounting a magnetic paper towel underneath.

Camp Chef Pro 60x Two-Burner Stove

I haven’t actually lit this portable stove yet, though it is solidly built. I am very particular about things, I don’t like chince that falls apart, and this stove is satisfactorily solid without both difficult to move around.

Great Upgrade

Bought the two burner Camp Chef Pro 60X to replace my old and tired Coleman table top stove. After using it on two trips, I should have purchased it years ago! Large burner platform for the largest of skillets, pots. etc. Great flame control with all the BTU's most would ever need. Very sturdy with added feature of leg levelers...no more fried eggs congregating on the low side of the skillet. Very easy to clean

It will help you do it all

Nice stove and really makes meals easy to put together. Purchased the double burner griddle which is a game changer. Also purchased covers. Will be picking up the pizza oven next. This is my second one because first one was defective. This new one has the leg levelers fall out and I had to tape them in. Also this stove is heavy and although portable is a bit of a handful pulling out of the camper.

LOVE CAMPCHEF!

Our Pro60 was purchased in 2004 for RV'ing, but it found a permanent place on the patio when we were home. Although the rig is gone, our camp chef has been our gas grill to this day! The two burners are a must, to sauté and grill, or stir fry. I could not cook in the summer without outside burners - no heat and humidity indoors. We still have the original grill box, which is at its end this summer (2019) due to rust or the deflector, but boy it made a lot of food over the years. Thank you CampChef for an awesome product, that is still going strong. I now have to decide to purchase the original grill box or go for the new one - such a Dilemma!

Best setup ever

I got this bundle about two months ago. This was the best investment I have ever made. Well constructed and great to cook on. Last night I made sausages on the grill side and fried taters on the griddle. They both turned out great. This is so easy to use the wind is no problem. We are full time RVers and this was perfect for our lifestyle. Thank you Campchef.

Pro 60X worth it!

Several years ago I had a Camp Chef explorer 2-burner and it sucked. It was a pain in the rear trying to find a rock or a stick to level it, the cook top has limited flexiblity, and the flame/heat adjustment was either warm or surface of the sun hot. Unsatisfied with tabletop camp stoves these past few years I decided to give Camp Chef another try. The Pro 60X has met my expectations with features and function. There is good flame/heat control to actually cook food in a controled even manner and is no longer a race against the clock to avoid burning food. Set up is easy and the leg levelers have plenty of adjustment and feels sturdier than my old explorer 2-burner. The shelves are useful and I also like having the burners enclosed. I did not give it 5 stars for two reasons. The ignitor is built into the flame control knob and you have to turn the knob to get the ignitor to spark. Sometimes it took multiple attempts to get the burner started. I did adjust the ignitor tips per the instruction manual. I would have prefered a push button ignitor. The second gripe are the air vent controls. They should have longer tabs on them for easier adjustment and it would be nice if they matched the quality of the rest of the Pro 60X. They feel cheap. The air vent control on the right is in a very tight area because of the regulator hosing/connections and a longer tab would enhance convenience and safety as heat builds rapidly in that area. I look forward to many years and many meals from my Pro 60X!

Very Disappointing

Cheap flimsy imported unit. Two of the leg locks destroyed themselves first opening. Received with bent parts from shipping but it is not surprising with the flimsiness of every part!! Wind shield is a joke. Looked all over literature just to verify what is so obvious..ie.. Camp Chef has like so many others off-shored their production and the quality does not compare to what they used to manufacture. The manual is one of the funniest reads I've ever seen ie. "In case of fire call the local fire dept or 911".. "Avoid bumping or impact with the appliance to prevent spillage or splashing of hot cooking liquids"and that is only a couple of 26 such do's and dont's. Sad...Would have retuned it but I used it. Works pretty well as long as there is no wind, rain, hail, or sleet... That's number 17. Ayee.. Should be listed as IMPORTED somewhere on this ad!!
