Beautiful color and unparalleled cooking

I love cooking in this pot so much. It's no surprise that Le Creuset is so loved by so many. It cooks like a dream and makes "font" so well, unlike any other pans I've ever used. It elevates all my cooking. But the number one reason I bought this item from C&B was another experience I had with them: I bought mugs many years ago. I love them but 2 had broken handles. I came to the website to see if they still had them and saw that other people had complained of the same issue. I added by review and within a day, a customer service representative had contacted me and had send me 2 replacement cups, even though it had been several years since I'd bought my mugs. I vowed then and there to buy my next Le Creuset from C&B because their service is top-notch.

Reliable cooking tools for every cook

The 5.5 qt Dutch oven is good for cooking and baking alike i use it for preparing casseroles, soups and baking bread alike. Always good, and easy to clean. if you follow the directions for cooking and cleaning you have pots for the next generation. Mine are 40 + years. I bought for my children when they got married. This time I bought for my granddaughter and I expect the same exceptional results and the same great guarantee if needed.

The enamel QUALITY is POOR and DON'T RELY on WARRANT

I'm a working mom of two. I love my kids and cook every day to feed them well. I also appreciate the cozy house and esthetic kitchen. I decided to splurge money into 5 le creuset cookware pieces (small and big saucepans, dutch oven, pan and the braiser). It's very expensive however I decided that it will add aesthetics (color Chalot mmm, dreamy) also it will add variation of cooking techniques and also will serve me decades and finally will serve my daughter when she'll be the mom. I believed the quality promised by La Creuset and their lifetime warranty. And you know what- it's total SCAM! My beautiful chalot color pan got cracked very soon as I started to use it (EXTREMELY CAREFUL!!!!) and customer service just refused to fix or exchange it!!!! Their LIFETIME WARRANTY IS A SCAM!!! They will just blame you, that it's your fault. and today I noticed the crack on my Dutch oven. I already know there is no use to ask customer service for help. Also regarding esthetics- it's VERY difficult to keep these pieces interior and exterior clean, I have their brushes and cleaner, but it takes A LOT of time to clean them up to the degree you can not hide them in the closet but actually decorate your interior. So don't waste your money. It does not worth it AT ALL

Use my 13 quart DO way more than expected

When I got my 13 qt DO, I wondered about its versatility. Nicknamed Big Bertha in our house of just two people, I use her surprisingly often. Roast a turkey- yes. Do a stew, or roast a chicken or two for make-ahead use? Yes. Boil corn or other veggies- yes. Dry roast a batch of potatoes. Yes. I make homemade dog food, and this accommodates a good sized batch. But also realized that with a towel on the bottom it's great for canning, as it holds a nice steady temperature. She's a keeper.

Perfect gift!

I bought this casserole pot in the 20cm size in Navy for a wedding present and the recipients were absolutely thrilled! The navy is a really lovely dark deep blue colour and has a shine finish. It comes in a substantial Le Creuset box which protects the product well. I have my own Le Creuset pot at home for years and it is the best cookware purchase I've ever made. I use it pretty much every day; they are so hard-wearing, wash well and the non-stick is outstanding. I highly recommend these pots and will for sure be buying more in different colours/sizes in the future as I expand my cookware collection!

Heirloom quality BIFL

I have always wanted to add this pot to my cookware collection for making soups, stews, Sunday sauce etc. Until now, my cookware has been 20+ yr old All Clad which are so amazing for everyday cooking. I snagged this Ink Blue beauty on clearance and I used a gift card I had received for Christmas. It’s heavy and cavernous , so it may not be the first pot you reach for everyday use. I plan to use this to bake a loaf of bread as well. Le Creuset is a definitely a Buy It For Life heirloom that you will pass down to future generations to come.

Received incredible deal!

After reading all the poor reviews, I realized I was one of the lucky ones who actually received the product at $250. I ordered a few days before Black Friday and knew it would sell out quickly so purchased it right away. It was a Christmas gift for my mother who was very specific about the size and color she wanted. I was so happy to be able to get it for her given the discounted price. She was so excited. I’m very happy with Nordstrom as well as Le Creuset.

A lifetime of Le Creuset

I have been using my Le Creuset for 60 years! It was given to me by my mom when I got married. I have always loved it and always use it. There is a distinct difference in the taste of anything you cook that is better than any other set of cookware. I accidentally found this out the first time when I had a French Dinner Party and cooked Coq au Van in 2 caseroles One being Le Creuset. The other just a good cookware. The difference was astounding !!! I gave the guests the one in the Le Creuset and family the other! They raved about the dinner non stop. I have never had anything happen to any one of them. I highly recommend this product ! Who ever heard of something lasting that long!!!!

So lovely, and everything I expect from Le Cruset

Years ago, I bought a different brand of Dutch oven. It definitely worked, but the lack of enamel on the outside let to staining not even bad keeper's friend could get out. When I moved, I made a game time decision to say goodbye to that Dutch oven.

It arrived in perfect condition!

I’ve used Le Creuset cookware for 20+ years. My first piece was a 9qt second quality Classic Dutch Oven with the black Phenolic Knob. It has been my workhorse! I figured after all these years, it was time to replace the old girl for a couple reasons. The Signature pieces have larger handles than the Classic’s, which makes a difference with my arthritic hands being able to get a better grip. The Signature pieces also have the Stainless Knob, which can tolerate heat up to 500, whereas the Phenolic Knobs are only heat resistant up to 375. I order the same color, Cerise, and it arrived promptly and in perfect condition.

Unacceptable service from Nordstrom

Like the other reviewer, I also ordered this for $250 in red during the Black Friday sale. Chose to go with Nordstrom instead of other stores offering the same discount because of Nordstrom’s customer service, etc. Big mistake because on 11/28 (after all the Black Friday and cyber Monday deals ended, of course), I get an email saying my order is cancelled. Color doesn’t matter to me but it turns out that Nordstrom won’t price match a different color either and the red swatch has been removed from the website so I can’t even set a notification to be alerted if it comes back. Appalling behavior from a trusted brand. Wish I would have ordered elsewhere!!

Buy from somewhere else!

I purchased this during Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales. After the sales were over Nordstrom unexpectedly canceled my order and refused to honor the price for a different color of the same size dutch oven. I missed out on being able to purchase this item elsewhere because I thought that Nordstrom would stand behind their sale. I was wrong. Skip buying something from Nordstrom on sale if the price is similar elsewhere.

The last dutch oven I need to buy

My experience with Le Creuset has been very positive. We have been using their enamel dutch oven since the early 80s! Then we were just starting out and were saving up and would buy a piece every year or so. They work great and look beautiful while doing it. I have had two issues over the years-both small chips on the inside bottom. Both times Le Creuset customer service took care of us and sent us new replacements-AT NO CHARGE! These are products that we bought when Reagan was in the white house. So when they say lifetime they really mean it. I don't know many business that is still doing that (other than my Sage fly rods). Both of our kids are good cooks and will be using ours once we are gone-how's that for a lifetime.

So disappointed - after 2nd use it broke

I got married recently and was thrilled to receive the Le Creuset Dutch oven I had put on my registry. I have wanted one for years and could not wait to use mine. After only one use, the second time I used it, it broke. I was making stew, using a wooden spoon to protect the interior, and the interior coating chipped off. We didn't notice until we had hard pieces of the coating in our mouths! To say that we were disappointed is an understatement. It was terrifying as eating the shard-like coating is extremely unsafe. I haven't yet decided what I'm going to do, but I wanted to start with this review. I knew what to do to take care of the Dutch oven and I did all the things and it still did this.

I just love my new Le CREUSET Cocotte

I’ m a big fan of Le Creuset. Works well and very durable. The color is great (even if it’s not useful for cooking). First time buying from Consiglio’s but certainly not the last. I didn’t know if they were for real because their prices were so amazing, THEY ARE! They also offer great customer service; sending email to make sure everything is all right with my purchase, fast and effective shipping. My Creuset, which is heavy, was packed with filling to make sure that it was protected, great job Consiglio’s! And a big plus, it’s a family business! WOW!

24cm round cerise casserole

It sits on the stove like a warm red glowing invitation to cook up something delicious. So I did just that immediately! Such a yummy pot of browned rich gravied casserole all cooked perfectly at once and made so easy in one pot. Then we ate from it and then I would have put the pot’s leftovers into the fridge but there were none! The pot was so easy to clean. Nothing stuck on it and it was into the dishwasher with it and then straight back onto my stovetop to sit and wait until my next delicious venture with it. So bright and beautiful to look at and so incredibly easy and fail proof to use-beginning to end. A delightful pot to serve from as well. I now aim to buy a skillet style next. It is a gourmet’s delight or an everyday wonder.

quality doesn't match my other products

the product I received was a 2 qt turquoise round dutch oven from a warranty claim. ( WORST PROCESS EVER!!!; but they closed the ticket before I could review the customer service shortcomings (i had 3 days), so ill refrain from commenting any further). That's right, I said turquoise, a color not listed on the website. Well it sounded pretty, and once I had it in hand, it was a beautiful, rich color. (I'm thinking its the Caribbean, but not 100% on that).

Le Creuset Cast Iron Round Casserole 20cm 2.4L Volcanic

Le Creusets reputation as the best maker of cast iron casseroles is very welldeserved in my opinion. This is my third purchase of a similar item, one given as a gift. My oldest Le Creuset, very similar to this one, is over fifteen years old and despite quite regular use is as effective and useful as ever with some expected slight discolouring that doesnt detract from its performance. The Le Creuset casseroles as easy to use, whether on the hob or in the oven. Just as importantly, they are extremely easy to clean. Ive cooked lots of different things, Ive occasionally overcooked things that have stuck a little, but every time the casserole is easily cleaned. I find that the heat distribution is excellent as well, for consistent and even cooking. Id highly recommend that anyone buys one of these as itll probably last you decades. I like how over the years the handle on the lid has changed to become metal, which should make it harder to break. I did once drop a lid and break a bit off the handle, but this should not be an issue with this latest Le Creuset casserole.A slight issue is that the listing at the time of writing lists the capacity at 8.4 litres, whereas the label on the box states 8.1 litres. A small difference but perhaps something to be aware of.
