Good replacement

Good Replacement for Amerock hinges that I installed 25 years ago. They have the same hole pattern that the original had.

Finish is only okay

Mechanically these hinges are great. I had ordered a pair from another source to ensure they would work well for my project. Then, I found these, at a much better price, at Woodworkers Hardware. They were more shiny in finished than the brushed nickel I was expecting.

Make Sure You Read if You are Replacing Older Hinges

The dimensions listed do not include the length for lack of the scientific term — the space of the hole (open area) from the piece of metal that the screws go into and the piece of metal that holds the hinge in place. This factor can make or break whether they work on your cabinets if you are trying to replace older hinges. I ordered 4 under same measurements — they worked — so ordered SAME exact hinges, and they obviously were from newer manufactured group because not the same size. They look the same until you measure the area described above. Very frustrating. 😞

So happy to find these hinges - We’re remodeling a 25 YO home. The kitchen cabinets are in good shape, just needed to be painted & new hinges. They are unique hinges so it was hard to find these- very grateful we didn’t have to replace all of the cabinets!

We have an older house and wanted to replace the hinges on kitchen cabinets. We replaced double-hinged bronze hinges with the nickel single-hinged ones. They are smaller, efficient and less noticeable. We have a white kitchen with SS stove and exhaust fan.

Just what I needed

We recently painted our old oak bathroom vanity and wanted new hardware and knobs. After looking locally, I was unable to find this hinge. I was so happy to find it here. It was delivered quickly and without shipping charges. I only wish it came in chrome, but the brushed nickel was fine!

This is a hard to find hinge. I didn't want to change hinge types and have to re-drill the cabinet door so I was grateful the supplier had just what I needed. They didn't have polished chrome but this blends just fine with the other hardware

I built our kitchen and bathroom cabinets 30 years ago. We recently remodeled our home and changed out nearly all the cabinets but we wanted to keep some of them. The original hinges were antique brass and we wanted to update with nickel. I was happy to locate these and they worked extremely well. They are self closing and grip very well. The description and & lack of measurement instructions is infuriating. The hinges were nicely made - but the wrong size. I gave fewer points because of the WEBSITE DESCRIPTION. Some reviewers describe work-arounds such as using parts of the olds hinges. 1. The DESCRIPTION does not explain how to measure your cabinets to purchase correct hinges to ensure proper fit. 2. The instructions do not clearly state the measurements of the cabinet "box" versus the measurements of the door. 3. My cabinet doors are 1/2 inch, so I purchased Amerock BPR8719G10 Single Demountable, Partial... 1/2 . 4. I installed the new replacement hinge but it sticks out (see picture) 1/4 inch. 5. That is because the Amerock BPR8719G10 Single Demountable, Partial... 1/2 is for cabinet boxes that are 1 inch thick 6. An Amerock BPR8719G10 Single Demountable, Partial... 1/2 does not fit cabinet boxes built in the 1980's that are 3/4 inch thick. 7. A clear explanation of your dimensions with illustrations would be helpful. 8. As you know, delaying a kitchen project disrupts the entire family's schedule and the events planned for the space. 9. Happily, after a long wait and research, I found another vender that sold the 1/4 inch single demountable that fit perfectly.

great buy.....

im giving my kitchen a facelift. my cabinets are knotty oak, light colored. i bought these hinges because they were the only ones i could find to replace the old ones. i was hoping to get them in a matte black, but they didnt have that color in this particular hinge. so what im going to do is have my husband string them up and i will spray paint them a matte black. my husband also says they are a perfect fit for the cabinets, and they are of high quality. and since you get 2 for 6.66 plus the screws, it was an amazing deal. we are pleased.

Not for new construction

They are not kidding when they say "Not for new construction". This design is terrible for durability. I have had several cabinet doors literally fall off these hinges as the screws and securing plates loosened, or the slots cut in the stiles wore out. My repair has been to epoxy the hinges into the doors until I'm ready to build new cabinets. I just can't imagine who came up with this design 20+ years ago. Note that I'm not knocking Rockler on this. It's just a lousy hinge design.

We purchased these to replace some old hinges in our kitchen. They look great and the overall quality is fabulous. However, we did have one issue: the collar on the draw piece (the part inside the cabinet) was too long. The screw would bottom out before it was fully tightened. Luckily for us, the threading on these was identical to the old hinges we replaced, so we simply swapped out the draw from the old hinges and used them on these. Worked like a champ, and know all of our hardware matches. If anyone would like a picture of what I mean, please respond and I can upload. I would highly recommend these for anyone who has similar hinges and simply needs to update.
