Very pleased with my purchase!

My cabinets were built in 1976 with all hardwood. The original hinges are obsolete. The mounting holes on the inside of the cabinet door have two holes, the new hinges have three (see the photos). Drilling new holes is required. The front facing hole pattern was exact at 2 1/4 inches apart. No drilling necessary. Before you attempt to replace the hinges on your cabinets , check Rockler's stock to see if they have a direct replacement so you won't have to make some modifications. Remember I'm dealing with 48 years old cabinets . If you're not handy with tools consult a professional.

Beautiful color

Beautiful color and perfect fit. Matches my handles perfectly. Don't have them installed yet, as i have to paint the cabinets first. Nice heavy weight.

great looking, but poor quality control,

large variation in part. about 1/3 interfered with swing to frame. had to dremel the cabinet frame to accept swing in of part containing spring capsule. fortunately, removed wood was not visible with door closed. Poor quality control / check. Appearance great. works well after this modification. not usable if you don't modify. Do not reccommend.

New hinges, old cabinets

Difficult Online Ordering

The hinges were just fine. Trying to buy them was a giant pain. I tried to order them on line and they said I could pick them up in 15 minutes. Went the next day and the order had been cancelled because they didn't have the full order. (I needed 40, they only had 30.) I ended up buying from the other online place, which I try to avoid.

Arrived in timely manner. All parts and pieces were well packaged with correct number of screws per hinge included. Correct color. Appeared as described abd in picture.

This is essentially the same hinge that I bought in 2009, for a kitchen cabinet remodel. Different part number, exact same design and size. Finally finishing up the cabinet re-paint. Looking good.

Perfect Fit - Awesome Color

These were hard-to-find size, and Lowe's had these high-quality stylish items available. Very nice champagne bronze that matches almost exactly to the other champagne bronze hardware/pulls we had purchased separately at different place.

Cabinet Hinges

These hinges are the best and easy to install. I bought them when I sanded and painted bathroom cabinets. They were perfect as a finishing touch. Bought them again after redoing kitchen cabinets. You can find “like” hinges at local box stores, but those are too bulky and doors won’t seat well.

Amerock variable overlay hinge review

I purchased the oil rubbed bronze Amerock variable overlay hinges and the Hopewell oil rubbed bronze bar pulls simultaneously from Rockler. The finish on the pulls was an unsatisfactory match to the hinges. The pulls were returned. Mounting the hinges to the face frame was tedious. Fighting the self-closing spring over-travel in the hinges in tight space was difficult. Getting the hinges mounted with satisfactory door alignment was near impossible.

Shabby brushed nickel

I bought these to replace the old ones after repainting my cabinets. Same brand, same finish (brushed nickel). They are a perfect match in shape, and I’m sure they’ll give me years of use. However, I presume because of Covid, the finish is not close to as nice as my old hinges. In a side-by-side comparison, they look cheaper than the old ones, and more chrome/shiny than brushed nickel. They look more used, like something you’d put in your garage, or really old ones from the 50s. I ended up replacing all of them, though, and once up, they are good enough. I compared an old one that was never used and still in the package, an old used one, and the new ones, btw, and most of the old ones wore really well. I only needed to replace a few that had rusted, but am glad I replaced all of them because it would have looked horrible to mix them. I hope the company’s production standards get up to par again for others.

I replaced 54 antique brass hinges on Kitchen cabinets with Amerock's Face Mount Overlay in ORB, which matched dimensionally. And the ORB finish matched the Amerock pulls. The self-closing hinges activate when opened about 8-10".
