NOT REAL WOOD - BEWARE !
Beware I just received this sideboard and it is NOT REAL WOOD I have MCS/EI and cannot have particle board in my living environment and it is going straight back! What a price to pay for something so cheaply made! If I could give ZERO stars I would. Definitely don't recommend.
I had been looking for a buffet and had an idea regarding the style that I wanted. It took a while, even going to furniture stores to browse, and with the Safavieh Red Buffet with Storage I found the perfect piece at Home Depot. I wanted one to house my coffee bar setup, but wanted something in color that goes along with our warm color scheme and something more rustic looking. This piece is perfect. It is good quality, was easy for my husband and myself to put together, is heavy duty wood and not particle board. It has a nice wood-grain top and storage in the bottom area. My husband and I play a lot of board games at our dining table, so the below storage area is perfect for our games. It has four small drawers that I use to store my k-cups. It has two cabinet doors with storage that I use for my cups. The picture of the product doesn’t do it justice. It looks a lot nicer than the picture. I could go on and on about this piece, because I love seeing it in my dining room and using it everyday. I highly recommend it! Great piece of furniture!
Item shipped with INCORRECT HARDWARE won't correct
We ordered this item from Walmart and after opening the package discovered that it had been shipped with the incorrect hardware and instruction manual. The directions and the hardware package were labeled and showing a totally different item and the pieces were not usable to put this together. We contacted the supplier, SAFAVIEH to see if they could ship us the correct hardware package. They replied that the CORRECT HARDWARE IS OUT OF STOCK FOR 6-8 MONTHS and they are unable to help. They suggested returning the item to Walmart. It appears as if the correct hardware is out of stock so they are just shipping it with the wrong hardware and passing the issue on to the consumer. It's possible to put it together using items from the hardware store but, if you dont want to be bothered with that hassle, dont buy this item. I am pasting below the exact response I got from the safavieh customer service rep.
There was no hardware in box and knobs fell off drawers . Screws were not long enough
Not solid wood
This is a nice looking piece of furniture that was easy to put together. However, it is definitely not solid wood as claimed. The top, shelf, back, sides and interior are all particle board, while the legs and door/drawer fronts appear to be solid. I was really looking for a solid wood piece. I guess at this price that was too much to ask, but I don't like being misled.
The color was a darker turquoise than the picture shows. I thought it would be more of a ‘robin’s egg’ blue. Overall, it works great for the place intended.
Absolutely Love this Piece!! I get so many compliments about it. I would definitely recommend this product and this site to friends, family, and colleagues. The products are great quality as well.

This sideboard looks beautiful in my kitchen. I originally bought for my dining room but decided it looked better in the kitchen. Very pretty, very sturdy. Love it!
