This is amazing!! Finally got it installed from our plumber. We did a major master bath remodel and this shower head feels amazing. Not great for function of rinsing out shampoo etc but this is an extra shower head in our steam shower for rinsing off after a steam. Even my kids adore this shower head

This is designed to be mounted to the ceiling of your shower-by the reviews this seems to be a missed detail. The shower head is 12in square, a good size to get a good portion of your body under the water at all times, which is pretty important so you don’t freeze in your own shower:) What I like Very thin, I have a modern look to the bathroom and I wanted a simple understated piece Many shower heads, easy to keep clean and gives a nice rain fall, you can pull out the water regulator piece and get a bit more pressure if you choose Very shiny and doesn’t collect water spots too Bradley Has a small pivoting piece where it attaches to the pipe allowing you to angle the head slightly Crazy easy to install-we used plumbers tape and hand screwed it in, no tools Things to think about It will take considerable work and water pressure issues if you do not have a shower plum for a ceiling shower This is not designed for high pressure, this is a “rain” shower, gravity not water pressure While the elbow does let the head pivot slightly, would not move enough to work with an angled ceiling shower-it doesn’t have more than an inch of movement

Rain shower heads got very popular, very quickly, and are now starting to decline a bit. The popularity is understandable. Who wouldn't want to be out in a warm rain shower? The decline is because warm rain isn't the best at massaging tired muscles or getting shampoo out of long hair. Because of this, I used a "splitter" to add this shower head alongside my existing one. It worked okay, though I found the water pressure too low when both were on, so now I have to choose. It also made it easier to compare for this review. Note that even if you do not do this, you will need to buy an extender arm to move the spray up and over your head, if you don't have a pipe coming directly out of the ceiling. The shower head itself is heavy and well-constructed. It has a small swivel joint at the top, so you can aim it a bit as needed. Don't expect the water to go where it is pointed, however, as the pressure is pretty low due to the large number of nozzles. It will go straight down from wherever the nozzle is due to gravity. Shampoo removal is definitely an issue. I keep my hair very short, but if it were any longer the rain head by itself would not do the job. As it is, it takes a long time. That isn't really what this is for. I do like it after I'm done washing up to just stand (or sit) under and let it wash over me. In that case, it excels. A warm rain shower is nice. The cost is crazy-high. However, it is well-built. It is super-thin, and the outside is polished to a smooth mirror finish so well that I actually thought at first it was made from glass. How much this is worth to you is a personal choice. As long as you know what you are getting, I don't think you'll be disappointed in this product.

I previously had a Waterpik Large RainFall+ Rain Shower Head which was a great shower head. While it was a great shower head, I wanted something with a bit wider spray pattern so I opted to give the Moen S1004 a try. When I got the Moen S1004, there was not much of an instruction manual, but the instructions did indicate that this shower head is best installed directly overhead. My shower had a standard 6 inch, 45 degree shower arm. I replaced the short shower arm with a 17 inch long reach “Purelux High Arc Shower Arm” and installed the Moen S1004 shower head. The Moen S1004 has a beautiful mirror like chrome finish. It has a nice, thin, sleek side profile. The face of the shower head is roughly a 12 inch by 12 inch square. The shower pattern with the Moen S1004 is a nice, wide, soft shower stream from the jets. When the shower head is mounted overhead, it provides enough water volume and pressure to easily wash shampoo and conditioner from your hair. If the shower head is not mounted overhead, the pressure from the shower head is not sufficient for the water stream to shoot very far horizontally. For this reason, I would highly recommend mounting the shower head overhead as the instructions indicate. The only downfall with this shower head is that it retains water if the shower head is perfectly flat horizontally. While I am sure this is probably not a problem if the shower is used daily, but I would wonder if this might cause any growth in the stagnant water if the shower was not used for an extended period of time, potentially clogging the shower head. Personally, I just tilt the shower head as far as I can on one direction when I am done to drain all the water possible. Overall this is a very attractive shower head that provides a wonderful, soft spray pattern. I would recommend this shower head without hesitation.

What a beautiful piece of hardware! Mirror finish and high quality components make this a stunning piece. Designed to be mounted directly overhead, it does have a swivel attachment for those that want to try it as a wall mounted shower head, although I don't think it will work as well. Since we are doing a master bath remodel, this was perfect for us. We had it mounted precisely where we wanted and had it mounted flush with the tiled ceiling for a built in look. We had 3/4" lines run to the shower and removed all the flow restriction devices to get adequate pressure and flow. The self cleaning nubbins are great and when the fixture is mounted directly overhead, I feel it drains better and reduces buildup if you have a high solids content in your water. A little preventative maintenance goes a long way in preserving the finish and performance of the fixture. A great addition to your shower.

I think the image provided does not give an accurate representation of what you are getting. What it seemed was you might be getting a rectangular shower head, when in fact it is a square. And the square is 12 inches on each side, so its rather large showered. Its not heavy, but cumbersome. Installing is very simple and goes on easily. I did not need to use any wrenches, just a turn and a towel or something to grab the ed to give it a more secure squeeze. Turn the water on and voila! I have a smaller, circular showered from Moen in the same line and there is a difference when using small or large shower heads, and most of it has to do with the water dispersement. Because my shower comes out of the wall and then a slight angle downwards, the water sprays out of the bottom area until pressure builds up and it will cover the entire surface of the shower head. And when I shut off the water, again, the top area stops immediately while the shower head drains the water into the bottom part. So it seems to me that this shower head is best used when it pipe is directly overhead and points down. Otherwise, its a beautiful piece and the water that comes out is not strong, but feels soft and you will feel well covered with this. The design is simply and the chrome finish adds to its charm.
