Nice solid build, spray nozzles work great, unfortunately wrench flat requires special thin wrench as standard wrenches are too thick, removing the flow restrictor yields nice strong water flow.

Shower head is a work of art, like alot have mentioned. One thing I didn't see mentioned is the lack of splash after the tiny droplets hit the floor from 10 feet. I deleted my shower door, for a more European feel shower, and this shower head does not send any droplets to the floor outside the shower. Weird review I guess, but I really appreciate not stepping in to a lake on the floor after a shower!

I just remodeled my bathroom and I must admit, this showerhead is the star of it all! I definitely splurged (on the high end of showerheads), but wow....in this instance I got what I paid for. For a water-saving showerhead, it packs a punch and the droplets are so dense and the streams are so small, it actually feels like a soft blanket or a warm hug on your skin. If you like a strong firm stream of jets, this showerhead isn't for you, but it fit my needs perfectly!

This is a very nice-looking fixture—elegant, not shiny; it will fit in with a modern bathroom design. But it does require some consideration about what kind of shower you’ll use it in. For one, the 1.75-gpm version’s water flow is pretty weak; it’s very gentle, almost misty, so I would not use this as my main showerhead, but it might be good as a combination with a handheld showerhead and a diverter, so you could use one or the other or both at the same time. Also, its diameter is seven inches (not eight, as the Home Essentials Direct description says). If you have a large shower, you might want a larger showerhead, but in a small stall, a smaller showerhead is definitely the way to go. We chose a 12-inch rainfall showerhead for one of our bathrooms, with a small stall, and it’s difficult to get out from under the water—to scrub your leg, for example. The price differences between the various finishes for this showerhead are insane. I’m accustomed to slightly different prices for different finishes, and I know that Hansgrohe is a premium brand, but some finishes are double the cost of others.

Let's face it -- the trickle of water we're allowed through new shower heads is never going to be quite as good as the 4 or 5GPM that we used to get from a 1930s era shower head, so it takes a huge amount of work to make a 2.5GPM shower head even barely acceptable. And most of them aren't. I recently compared this new hansgrohe to the brand new Delta H2Okinetic UltraSoak and the Moen S112BG 10" showerhead. Absolutely no comparison. The hansgrohe is the best of the three by far. Each of the tiny nozzles has three perforations so you get three streams from each nozzle, and there are dozens of nozzles. The result is best described as a cross between a rain shower and a mist, but with sufficient water flow to keep you warm while simultaneously washing. It actually feels like a shower! The UltraSoak didn't live up to its hype and the Moen suffered quality control problems, but this hansgrohe, besides providing a wonderful shower (given the 2.5GPM limitation, of course) has excellent construction and worked precisely as desired. Easy quick installation required only a wrench and an Allen screw driver.

I recently had the occasion to use the shower in my guest bathroom & discovered that the "Rain Shower" head was just a big shower head & nowhere near as luxurious as the Grohe heads I installed in my other showers. This Grohe does not disappoint in its quality or performance. Like the previous shower heads it is heavier than expected & solid due to the robust construction & quality materials. The matte black finish is a good match for the oil bronze fixtures in the shower. What I was not expecting was the cool "Powder Rain" air infused water spray. It is hard for me describe but it feels like a heavy mist that is still very wet. It feels very luxurious & I might end up with one of these in the master shower. I still have the hand wand if I want scouring water spray. Installation was almost straight forward. There is a small grub screw that is tightened to index the head on the pipe & I suppose to keep it from backing off. That screw was tightened into the threads a little & initially kept it from tightening all the way. Once I backed the grub screw out a little, it tightened & sealed just fine. The head can swivel a little but it is very tight. It won't be getting knocked out of alignment easily.

This is in a whole different category from any American made fixture (Kohler, Delta, Moen, etc...). The sheer weight of this showerhead will impress you, the quality is impeccable. The brushed bronze is such a beautiful color, can't wait to finish our major bath renovation to show what it all looks like. The powder rain droplets are extremely relaxing and gentle. We love that this is only using 1.75gpm to reduce our water usage. Hansgrohe is certainly in the luxury class category.

The pressure isn't too soft or too hard. The size is large and impressive. The brushed bronze color really makes a statement. I highly recommend this product. I found the showerhead to be very high-quality. It was easy to unpack and easy to install. The stream is even and very comfortable. The swivel head makes it very easy to adjust for different individual heights.

The hansgrohe Raindance S 9-inch Showerhead I received is the 2.5 gallon/minute version. The hansgrohe Raindance S 9-inch Showerhead is solidly built from metal with a synthetic insert for each spray jet. The entire assembly comes with instructions including disassembly instructions for deep cleaning. I like it when manufacturer's know that their product will last long enough to require deep cleaning and prepare for that. Some people try putting these showerheads as replacements for their regular showerhead. While possible, I don't recommend that. This type of showerhead is meant to be installed horizontally (e.g. flat to the earth). To do that, you can use a ceiling mount or upgrade your shower fixture with something like the Delta Faucet 58810. Both my wife and I are very happy with the rain-style main showerhead with a hand wand companion as compared to the single showerhead. Edit 12/27/20: I added a picture comparing the hansgrohe 9" showerhead to the Moen 10" that I'm using in another project. Both showerheads are rated at 2.5 GPM. Note: The picture is not to scale.

Many rainfall showerheads exist, but not all are equal. I have had Moen and Grohe, and this one is better than both. The finish is excellent, looking a step above the others. The mounting point is also modeled to be more elegant and stylish. The silicone nubs on this one for cleaning are a little different, for better or worse. Rather than the typical thick silicone, these have thin silicone that crumples as you wipe it. I think the idea is to break up any hard water deposits, but I will update this review if I find that they start tearing in a few years of daily wiping. I also do not love the generic plumbing silicone color that they have. It does not look bad, per se, but takes down the overall high end appearance. I don't know why the silicone is not color matched. If you are looking to upgrade your overhead showerhead to create an upscale look, this is definitely one to have on your radar.

My wife and I recently decided to embark on a remodel of our master bathroom. Nothing fancy, for the most part, but we decided to splurge and install this rain style showerhead. Best. Decision. Ever! We absolutely love it. Once we ran the pipe to the ceiling so that it would be above-head, install was just as simple as installing any other shower head. But, the shower experience is a game changer. It has a perfectly even flow that is covers a wide area and it even looks great. If you could only add one upgrade to your shower or bathroom, I'd suggest putting the PowRain SH at the top of your list. Absolutely love it!

The 180 PowRain SH 1.75GPM shower head is really nice. I was redoing my bathroom and looking for a new shower head. After I installed it, switch was a breeze. It works great, it it has a really flow of water that comes out. It literally feels like you are standing in the rain. My family likes it so much that we are getting and shower head for the other bathroom.

I had just a small output shower head there previously and was so excited after using this one! It really gives you a wide range and consistently. I love this thing! Great for Rainshower application

This is a great CA compliant showerhead. I think it would work best as a ceiling rain shower, but can be used as a wall mounted head as well, which is how I use it. It is not super high pressure, and if you prefer very hot showers this might not be for you. Overall, the showerhead is a very relaxing option, and the PowderRain technology is pretty awesome. Goes to show that you can still have a great shower system, even with GPM limitations.
