I was really impressed with the fast shipping of my recent purchase. The installation process was simple and easy, and my contractor had no issues putting it in. I absolutely love the way the spout trim complements the tile in my bathroom, and it works perfectly. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend it to others.

Spout drips a bit when turned to shower mode.

it was put into a weak bag with no protection from the shipping handling and rough treatment so arrived with the control knob bend and loose in the bag and the original box ripped and crushed - cheap packing for sure. Won't do this again.

Fist, the escutcheon is a separate piece. Would be better if manufacturer indented the escutcheon so the spout settled into a groove. After filling in hole in tile with spray foam, slipped escutcheon onto pipe and attached spout onto pipe, the spout still wiggled. Took it off and added a builders caulk between spout and escutcheon which seems to hold spout to escutcheon without any movement now. Over all, it's a nice looking spout, diverter diverts as it should and doesn't appear to drip when set to shower.

This tub spout is well built and heavy duty. Many available spouts are thin and cheaply made. This is a slip on type and even though my original spout was threaded it was easy to cut off the threads and copper pipe coming out of the wall at the recommended length. Clean up the pipe with sand paper and slide on the new one. Be sure to caulk up around where the pipe enters the shower wall to keep water from finding its way into the wall. In use the spout is easy to close for the shower setting. It stays put and leaks zero water below. My old Price Pfister leaked half the water out of the tub spout instead of pushing it through the shower. The only negative is that this is an expensive spout. Not sure why someone can't make a solid, well built, generic replacement spout for under $30. There are a mountain of cheap ones that are built poorly and function poorly also. Even from the known brand names.

The quality of the Moen 3807 Monticello Diverter Tub Spout was very good, however I do have a problem with it that I did not like. The problem could be very easily corrected by Moen if they really wanted to improve the overall "Fit" of the Spout to the Backing Plate. What happens is the Backing Plate - where it joins the Spout is perfectly "Flat". If the Backing Plate would be mfg. with a slight ridge where they meet - you could easly solve the problem. What happens is - if the 1/2" copper tube is not mounted perfectly straight as it comes out of the wall - the Spout & Backing Plate will not join perfectly - leaving you with an "Open Gap" inbetween the two! Very frustrating to have this happen when you are trying to buy a quality Spout to improve the overall look of the tub! I tried to bend the copper tube - but was afraid of causing further damage - so I didn't go any further. By adding the "ridge" on the backing plate as I explained above - you would essentially hide any gap that would appear when they are mounted. Very frustrating for me - when I was expecting a perfect fit!
