i thought that the lock had a problem but bertram shaved a small amout of the edge to fit properly. When i caught that i did the same and the lock works perfectly

This Mortise Lock Set with Bolt seems to be well made but I don't understand why they would not supply the screws. I can buy a $15 lock set for my house and it comes with screws. Why not supply screws with a nice marine set like this?
