In general. The product is a little hard to grip. I am disappointed in the fitment with the door. But it works.

Smaller than the standard hole for a entrance door. Cannot use, it just shifts around.

I purchased this product in error. Kwikset makes another square bezeled deadbolt with a flat profile cylinder branded as “Downtown” that Home Depot doesn’t carry. Unfortunately, I didn’t see the difference until it arrived.

It works now perfectly.

Little stiff. Needed some extra work on the locking into wall area.

It looks good installed on my door. Only problem is it was short one of the dark colored, matching screws.

Defective Latch on All Models

I have had Kwikset deadbolts on my house for 10 years. Almost all have had a defective latch. The actual deadbolt will occasionally will jam or "freeze" in place and I have to take apart the lock to un-jam it. Once "unjammed," the latch will seem to be perfectly smooth but it will jam later anyway. Grease and silicone lube makes no difference. Today it was my front door that was jammed. It's a shame that Kwikset can't design and build the SIMPLEST part of the lock so that it doesn't get jammed up.

Exactly what needed. Happy smart keyed so could update to homeowners' keying.

Only issue was perfecting the bolt throw length on my pre-drilled door. 1st option was too short, 2nd option is right length, but handle doesn’t point perfectly at 12 or 3. Not the end of the world, lock itself still works perfectly fine. Would (and probably will) buy again for other doors.

I bought this to replace a broken deadbolt. I wanted it keyed the same as my other locks. Literally a 15 minute install including taking out the old and then rekeying the new lock. Very impressed.
