Great look!

I am a big fan of the Delta Ara collection and I use it in a lot of my remodels. The trims are heavy and substantial so you know the quality is great and not a cheap plastic version with a coating on it.

Perfect look

We haven't installed this yet but it's just the look I wanted with the integrated diverter to balance the room with the steam controls on the opposite wall. Blends perfectly with my other matte black fixtures.

Excellent Option to Control Temp, Volume, and Diverter

Excellent shower control for managing temperature, pressure, and diverting. Only complaint is wish it was avaipable in Lumacoat. The currebt finish tequires constant wupe down to avoid water spots.

Solid, but only ports left

Installed few days ago. Base seems solid, but the plastic temp control is little worrisome. The main problem encountered was did not realize this model ports only to the left. If you need a right port, need to buy a six way valve. Who would’ve thought a three way valve ports only to one side. Other than that pretty nice.

Poor Quality and Inconsistent finishing

The finish on the face plate is awful, it feels rough to the touch as if the brushing was done poorly to cause burrs to be felt on final finish. If you pass a microfiber over it catches. The brushing is frustratingly crooked and you can tell the brushed finish is deeper in some spots than others (see pics). I was extremely disappointed being that this is $450 for essentially a few pieces of metal (and plastic too). I even tried buying a second one, thinking I got unlucky, both are bad.

Beautiful Chrome finish with great features.

Very high quality finish and works well. Parts fit well and operate very smoothly. As a side note, I bought an open boxed product with a bad 3 way valve. Purchased a new 3 way and it works perfect. Delta makes very good products and I'm very happy with it. Got lots of compliments about how beautiful the chrome finish is.

Shower Controller for bathroom

Make sure you purchase the correct ‘behind the wall’ fitting. The installation is more labor intensive so you probably need a ‘master plumber’ not an apprentice. It’s a great piece for smaller showers because it’s one unit that controls both the shower head & the hand held shower head.

This was the second bathroom I remodeled and I used the same Delta shower valve. I really like the look and ability to adjust temperature. If you haven’t tried a rain head in addition to the normal spray head, you’re really missing a great shower. This valve works to operate both.

Temperature control knob is plastic

I bought this trim. While 2 knobs (volume control and diverter) are made of metal, the knob for the temperature control is made of plastic. Need this knob for the temperature control to be made of metal. How do I get it ?

I'm not a pro, but I'm a fearless and experienced DIY-er. (Been building my own vacation home for several years.) I'm finally down to the finish plumbing. I purchased two of these for both showers. They went in just fine and I'm very pleased with the look and function. Smooth and crisp. Look great.

Delta quality for a great price!

I ordered a Delta T27867 Ara 17 Series Pressure Balanced Valve Trim for my master bathroom remodel. This high quality Delta unit allows for one fixture to control your water temperature, water pressure, and it also allows for water diversion to a rainfall head. My plumber recommended that we only purchase Delta fixtures since they are made of quality materials and they also have a strong warranty. I would recommend this Delta unit to a friend whom needed only 1 control mount for their bathroom remodel.

This was installed by a professional plumber during our shower remodel. He recommended Delta, so we picked the nicest faucet control to accommodate our 3 shower heads. I would have given it a 5 star review, EXCEPT the brushed nickel/stainless steel finish holds onto water drop stains really bad. I am constantly wiping it clean and shining the water spots off of it. For the price, I wouldn't expect this to be an issue. But we LOVE the pause setting between each shower head selection.

This product has all the features of a high end unit! It is a high end unit!! It gave my custom shower the finishing touches that has made it look so contemporary and elegant. Keep in mind it has 3 settings that only give you two options. So plan accordingly. Setting 1 is upper shower head. Setting 2 is a combo setting with the jets. Have your plumber install a secondary diverter. To get a 3rd setting.

Other than the often mentioned plastic temp control knob, it is quality and functionality at its best. The diverter supplies 2 taps and is easily set. The volume control is smooth. The temp control has a wide range of settings.....very easy to control water temperature. On top of all that, it looks terrific!

I have had this for almost a year and the quality is top notch. Even though it is not a designer brand Delta is made solid. I did my homework before I bout it and the quality is excellent. I love the fact that it has temperature control that you can set once and never worry about changing it if you want. I also love that I have one spot to control both of my shower heads. I can use both at the same time or one at a time. I have an overhead and hand held so this is a great option for controlling them. I had a similar model in my last house for 7 years and it held up great, never an issue. When you pick it up it is nice and heavy telling me it is a solid product. Delta quality and looks for me are up there with more expensive models but Delta has a long reputation of quality. This is a valve that will alst the life of your house.

It snaps on, but remains loose with wiggle room. Would have been perfect if metal as well and fastened with a screw.

Nice style and functionality. Like that the temperature adjustment is separate from flow volume control and that diverter is integrated with faucet. Temp control is plastic, which is dissapointing for this price range. Also had to modify Schluter Kerdi waterproofing gasket to fit non-circular shape of roughin.
