For a Moen fixture I expected more. While overall it performs well and installed as expected, many of the parts of this - including the mounting fixtures - are chrome plated plastic! I was disappointed that it has so many plastic features. It's not easily visibly noticeable, so it still looks nice when installed, but on principal I thought I was getting an all metal item and it most definitely is not.

This is a stylish handshower with slidebar and water saver feature. I like the rectangular and square modern design that matches my marble grey tiles. However, I am displeased with the materials used in this product especially from a higher end brand like Moen. Overall, I was hesitant to screw this in but in the end, I ended up doing it and hope that it lasts in durability. I also have a couple extra tiles in case I need to replace the whole item.

It made it easier for me to shop through eBay and go to the store and deal with all the hassle

Great shower head

I was looking to replace my showerhead and this one seemed attractive. The box clearly had been opened but all the parts were there and the showerhead works just great.

Apparently Moen is going to follow Delta right down the drain...at least if this is any indication of recent quality. As homeowners and landlords, we've bought and installed more than our share of bathroom fixtures over the years. Delta used to be our "go to" for reliable performance, quality and price. Then it started to slide and eventually we switched to Moen which was a bit more expensive but worth it....until now. This is junk. Looks and feels worse than some of the no-name chinese made generic versions I've come across. Lots of plastic, minimal heft.

As you would expect from Moen, this is nice. Well made, classy lines, fairly easy to retrofit. It should be a 5-star review. But the brackets. The brackets used to attach the chrome bar to the wall, they are plastic. Yes, it's a chrome finish. But for how long? With such a classy item from such a classy provider, this is disastrous. Everything else is good - the shower head is excellent, how adjustable it is, how easy to set up - perfect. 5 stars after five stars. Apart from those ugly, cheap, nasty brackets.

Yes, it's mostly chromed plastic and not on par with the typical Moen experience. Moen occupies an expected quality space in the seasoned buyers mind. Frankly, I like it for the spare bath. It's price and quality are suitable. I wouldn't install it for the main baths as I don't think it can stand daily use. Plumbing fixtures are dang expensive. If it was brass,copper and chrome, I'd expect to pay $500-1000. This Moen variant is priced among the no-namo's. It might in fact be a no-namo factory output. So, in the price range, it's not bad among lower end competitors. It is what it is but it's not suitable for daily use. If Moen is attempting to capture the volume of inexpensive no-namo's, this product quality might shift Moen buyers typical expectations towards the lower price alternatives.

The pole is metal, but everything else is chrome-color plastic. This is not the sturdiness of Moen's grab bars -- by a mile. Installation is with a wood screw (for a stud) or a molly bolt (for hollow walls). The wand can't aim totally down because the backside of the hose doesn't bend enough and hits the wall. I can't imagine this product lasting more than a year or so without problems. I had to really wrench the hose attachment to the shower pipe hard (there's a washer) to get it to stop leaking. The wand puts out a rectangular, and rather narrow spray. It does work, and there's not currently any problem. Now that I have it, I'll use it, but I can't recommend it unless you want this exact look, mostly intend to hand-hold the wand, and are not concerned about the long-term longevity of plastic.

Really solid showerhead. Hook is magnetic which makes it easy to use.
