Failed Internally

I thought this was a good product but after 10-years it failed. Now that's a long time, but a failure which floods the interior and exterior walls of your home just isn't acceptable. The diverter is made of plastic and leaked severely when water was diverted to the shower head. It was a couple of days before we noticed water leaking into our garage under an exterior wall. It took we awhile and I had to open the wall behind the shower controls. Then we found water leaks when the shower was selected from the diverter.

Great Look

The spout functions as it should and has a great look. Be aware that it extends longer into the tub than the “standard” spout but thats something thag i didn’t mind

VERY easy to install

Oh my gosh, this was SOOO easy to switch out. I replaced a new one of the same old one. Just unscrewed old, and screwed on new. Works perfectly and looks great. I have never had a repair be so easy. Was grateful and delighted!!!

This tub spout is gorgeous. I highly recommend it. It goes very well with my shower head and accoutrements.

This spout only came with the solder on fitting not the sweat fitting. Also, it’s made of plastic, which it says, but it’s pretty cheap feeling plastic. I’m surprised that Delta even makes this. For these reasons I returned it and got a better metal one.

Not heavy duty but works well so far

This is not very heavy duty (feels "plasticy" as opposed to metal) and is longer than it appears in the photo. You also have to solder a part on the pipe that comes out of your wall in order to mount this (i.e. it doesn't just slide or screw on without first doing that). It does look nice though and what I like most is that when I pull the stopper up to activate the shower it completely cuts off water flowing from the spout. Prior lower quality bathtub spouts I've used would always allow some amount of water to run even when the shower was on. I haven't had this very long though. Hopefully it continues to work as well as it has so far.

It is the right replacement part, but it is made of plastic, not metal. When it is tightened, the part that is screwed to the pipe may break. The previous one was broken that way when I tried to fix the leakage because of the pull-up diverter (actually, I don't need that pull-up diverter for my tub)
