Open Louver Shutters

Needed to replace my old mismatched shutters. I ordered 3 sets of pairs of shutters. Shutters were received in a timely manner as promised, and the price was great. Color was matched as ordered. I highly recommend these shutters and would order from this company again without a doubt!

I like the product quality but very light; liked the hardware included and having the option to use screws or fasteners. Both were colored to match the shutters. Installation was very easy. The old was were exactly the same brand so I used them as a template to drill the holes on the new ones. They look beautiful and match the front door I just painted midnight blue. Delivery was as quick; just a few days.

Look great, easy to install

These shutters look great and they were easy to install. They are fastened securely and really dress up the front of my house nicely. The price is perfect compared to some quote I was getting from other retailers and contractors. I recommend these.

Met expectations, very nice faux shutters

So far so good. Very good looking faux shutters. Comes with two types of mounting hardware. Very easy installation. Reason for only 4 stars they are new and haven't proven the test of time yet.

I purchase four sets of the unpainted shutter. After painting, l installed them on our brick house. Using an impact drill and drill bits made for the cement/bricks I had little trouble installing them. Took two bits to complete job. They look good. I used the nylon attachment screws they provided.

Love the open louvers

The shutters on my house were 25 years old and in serious need of replacement. I am very pleased with the look and quality of these open louver shutters, not to mention the lifetime warranty. I changed my old tired green shutters out for black ones. My home looks so much better. Plus the price was right! How can you beat all that?

Great replacement shutters

Back of townhome has masonite siding and shutters all extremly faded from intense direct sun. Painted the siding and replaced the shutters. Looks great! Customer happy! I hope they last quite a few years before fading.

Replacing 20 yr old shutters and these are the exact replacement. We found this website while doing an internet search. They arrived within a few days via Fed Ex. All sizes in stock; 28 pair! Price is the best we found. Midnight blue is dark navy, and in the right sunlight looks almost black. Went up easily and we attached with matching screws this time. Will reach out to customer service to see if we can return all the non-screw fasteners- I don’t need 28 sets of 6.

Replace fading and chipping shutter that were painted.

This shutter was chosen as it is a solid resin shutter in the color specified. The 92 pairs of original shutters were white and painted. While they lasted 20 years, the paint is finally chipping. The customer service was excellent, with follow up after the product was received. Our condo association will be ordering 100 sets of this shutter in the next month.

These are the size I ordered the first time. Should not have taken two orders to get proper size. Need to pay more attention to what is ordered, and send the proper items the first time. This put my project behind two weeks! The product is great the problems getting product sucks.

You get what you pay for

Very lightweight plastic shutters. My husband attached them securely with 2 screws each (Came with 8 screws each) happy with purchase. I ordered these for wellhouse and detached garage so really only seen from afar, If these were on my house where they would be seen close up I would have returned them. Buyer beware... if you want nice wood shutters you will pay much more for them elsewhere, these are plastic

No internal structural frame!!!!

First off the item arrived in a timely manor. Also arrived in new and undamaged condition. So what is the reasons for my 3 star rating your probably thinking..... My 3 stars are based on the actual product. I will explain. I purchased one set as a test to replace a set on the back side of my studio building - I want to replace all the shutters on that building BUT wont proceed further with this specific shutter!When I removed my old shutters on the test window, I noticed the old set was attached by two small hinge each. I also realized that the existing old set contained an internal wood frame. This product (the Test Set) Does Not contain an internal frame whatsoever and because of this, they are flimsy!! Do I find the shutters attractive... that aren?t bad. However, they must be drilled and screw attach in ALL four corners of each shutter for installation.This shutter NEEDS an internal frame! The internal frame would keep the shutter from being flimsy AND the frame would allow for installation with hinge brackets. If an internal frame was installed or affixed within the shutter - A: it would keep it flat and without flex/twist when handled or installed, which makes me question longevity. B: it would give it an actual support structure where hinges could be applied. C: it would prevent having to drill holes into the face of ALL four corners of each shutter AND not having to see 4 screws on the face of each shutter once installed D: you wouldn?t need to screw 4 screws into your exterior siding for each shutter or a total 8 holes in the siding per window. Who wants to see 4 screws on the face of each shutter once installed?? Maybe several people don?t mind looking at surface hardware and putting holes in theirs exterior siding.... ALL of these gripe points could be 100% remedied by just installing an internal frame.Glad I did a test and only purchased one set!! Also glad it on the back side of my studio that faces the woods!! I applied a ball of silicone caulk in each tapped hole seconds prior to installing the shutter in an attempt to prevent future leakage from directional rain!! Specifically concerned about the bottom screws on the shutter. The top screws are somewhat protected by the roof overhang but pre caulked all 8 holes regardless. Would I purchase again - NO!! They are flimsy, constructed without an internal frame and because of these facts the installation requires 4 screws through the face of EACH the shutter AND 8 holes in the siding surrounding

Definitely add some value to the house

This products is one of those things that bring value and make differences to the house. It very easy to install and lightweight which is a plus for me. Now my house looks expensive! Highly recommended?a must buy if you want to have some curb appeal!

Overall quality of the shutters are good. I ordered 2 sets. One set was missing the screws & plugs to attach the shutters to the siding. I read the reviews before puchasing & it appears this is not the first time screws/plugs were missing. Gave 3 stars overall rating because of this.

Good value for the quality

These shutters are lightweight, yet still rigid enough to be sturdy. They have a faux-wood grain look, so once they are properly primed and painted and hung on the house they look like real wood. To install, you need to hold the shutter in place, drill a 1/4" hole through the shutter and about 2.5" into the house, and then hammer in the white anchor/bolts provided. The anchors are plastic with a fairly large button head on them that shows once they are installed. They have "teeth" on them that grip once installed so they cant be pulled out. I was expecting an attachment system that would sit flush with the shutter so I could fill over the screw, sand, and paint to make the screw invisible -- but thats not how these work. Once installed, the white "button" on the end still shows, so its important to measure and have them evenly spaced on the shutter so that they are visually balanced.

They came in as expected. Plenty of fasteners were provided. I chose to use the screws rather than the plastic fasteners, despite the literature's encouragement to do otherwise. Why? Two reasons:

Beautiful Shutters

My wife and I purchased 8 sets 0f shutters of different sizes for our house and the installation was easy, in fact I had all hutters installed after removing all old shutters in one afternoon, fast easy installation and a major improvement to the appearance of our house, the blue color matches out blue roof. Ordering was easy and delivery was faster than we expected. A beautiful product and a great price, each set of shutters comes with 12 screws and nylon push clips, pleanty of mounting hardware, I used the screws. If your looking for new shutters for your house, you wont go wrong buying these shutters.

Lifetime Vinyl Shutters

I received my new shutters within a few days of ordering. Each set of shutters came with two types of fasteners. Plastic lock fasteners and screws. After taking down my old shutters, I decided to use the holes already in the mortar and used plastic expanders and the screws provided to attach my new shutters. The Ekena shutters were of excellent quality and the project was completed in several hours after using the old shutters as a template for drilling the holes in the new ones. The price of the shutters was excellent, and I would highly recommend using Architectural Depot for purchasing home improvement products.
