High quality, strong boxes, worth the money

A bit more expensive than the days of these being available at CostCo, but Zoro at least is the low cost option for these great boxes now. Can't do without them in the garage.

First Zoro purchase. Probably a knock off product.

The color was different from purchases from other vendors and the photo. There no identifying labels. I suspect these are a knock off product and not genuine.

No rails

I bought this several months ago, but just pulled it out of the box. It is supposed to hold hanging files, but there are no rails to hang them on. Totally unusable

[Rewarded Review] Perfect for long-term storage

This is the sixth Keep Box for us and we've found them to be just right for all our storage need. Hanging files, data storage, photographs. This is really the best size for all.

File Storage

Solid construction. These containers are strong and great for additional file storage. They are just as good for any type of storage. I have 12 at this time, and would not hesitate to purchase more as need is required. Recommended.

Decent tote, but plastic too thin

The plastic used is too thin. These used to be sturdier in years gone by, but now they will only stack so high and last so long because they’re not solid enough.

Excellent!

I've had some of these bins for years (so long I can't even remember when I first got them). I've used them to store things and to move things. They are very durable and a good size (you can fit a lot but they're still manageable to carry). Years after I bought my first set of these, when I needed some more to store some things, I liked them so much that I went on the hunt to get these specific bins again. I really appreciate that even though my original bins are now years and years old I can still get more bins that match them and stack with them. (Other companies seem to change their designs every year or so, and then you can't stack the new bins with the old ones.) I will not buy any other storage bins.

Great containers

Zoro is the only place I could find these well built containers at a good price. One arrived broken and they replaced it immediately. I mean immediately!

Quality stackable storage container

Product is quality storage bin with the hinged lids, all of the storage bins stack together. I purchased one recently where the plastic lids would not fit together well, this was was quality.

Great Investment

These are better than the STERILITE products. The plastic of these is more sturdy and the lids are hinged and much sturdier. You can stack these - each box around 30 pounds. Can stack about 3 high. Any higher and the bottom box top might break. SteriLIte products crack easily when stacked. Love Love Love my Akro-Mils clear boxes. Store in the garage or attic. Clear container lets you know immediately what you have inside. Great investment.

Personal use

I move regularly and I am report machine, so, these hanging files boxes are great because they move with me and I can keep my reports organized and filed.

Comes incomplete

This box container is for hanging files but comes without the rails to hang files. Don't buy this unless you just want to store stuff. As delivered doesn't allow storage of hanging files. Description is misleading. When you buy from store it contains the rails to hang files.

Akro-mils keepbox w/file rails

These bins/boxes/totes are great. They are the only ones I can find with metal rails that hold up the files. With no fails, the files slide under each other. Great for storing office files.

Overpriced without the metal hanging rails

As a plain storage bin without the metal hanging railed used by hanging files, this storage box is significantly overpriced compared to comparable storage bins found locally. For storing things other than office files, this item provides very little value. Just so everyone understands what I am saying, there are two different versions of this item. One with and another without metal rails where hanging folders slide and keep files organized. without these metal rails, the Akro-Mils 66486 is just another plain ordinary storage bin and not worth its premium price.

Clear Keep Box

Good long-term file storage solution. We keep all of our older projects in these files. Easily stackable and dogged enough to stack several boxes. The interlocking lid works better than any other type. Cant find these at the club or depot stores.

Akro Mills Covered File Box

I have a number of plastic file boxes made by other than Akro Mills, and am familiar with their weak points. The Akro Mills file box is definitely superior. The A.M. design is more rigid due to the plastic case incorporating bracing & stiffeners. Best of all is the metal rails feature. This prevents the usual bowing outward experienced with plastic rails. File folders also slide easier on the metal rails.
