Nice quality. Placed on my covered front porch for layering with mat. Nice tight weave. It did have some shedding out of the package, but none that I have noticed since. It is washable, which is nice. I would recommend the product

Do not purchase

BIG YIKES. The color for the grey is really light green and the pile is much higher than expected. I went to return it and cannot return without paying over $* for shipping! DO NOT BUY unless you are certain you want whatever random color they send.

Loved it! Used this rug for my dining room. Wine stains have been harder to clean but that’s to be expected. Overall, I am happy with this rug. I would definitely buy it again as a replacement. It has lasted over a year now!

Rug is dog approved

I love this rug. Colors are lovely and it doesn't show dirt or dog hair. It does move around a bit even with a wool rug pad underneath, but mostly due to our dogs running around chasing balls on it. The ends of the rags do come unraveled especially when vacuuming but I think that is normal with this type of rag rug?

Cabin Rug

The turquoise blue colors and style are just right. I got this to go with a turquoise couch for a new cabin. The rug has the perfect camp/cabin feel to make sense of the bold colored couch in that setting. I describe it as a rag rug, similar in fragility to antique handmade braided rugs made by my great grandmother. This one was so inexpensive, that if we only get one season out of it, I'm still happy. I'll shake it outside for cleaning and won't use a beater bar vac. Definitely needs a rug pad.

Great rugs!

This is the 2nd time I have purchased this rug (different colors) I ordered my 1st one for a bathroom in my basement & then 2 for my kitchen. They're easy to vacuum or toss in the washing machine to clean. The colors are great, no wear considering the amount of use they get. The did shed a little at first, but nothing concerning. I recommend these!!

COASTAL VIBE...due diligence...

Purchased the 8ft and 4ft runners in the Aqua/multi color. The colors are beautiful with a coastal vibe. You do have to hang them outside for a few days at least to get rid of the smell associated with the rug fibers, but that is to be expected with this material. In order to have them stay put on any given surface, you must use proper adhesive/carpet tape. When vacuuming be very careful to go with the flow of the fiber so as not to catch a piece and unravel the carpet. I love the color and intention of these carpets, however, you must be willing to do due diligence with them and their care. Thus, a 4-star instead of 5-star rating.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

This was a great purchase, especially with the President's Day Sale discount. The Pink/multi is beautiful muted colors, and definitely not baby pink -more of an antigue rose, wine, sage, and cream, with a bit of turquoise here and there. Very pleased. The 8x10 ctually makes a smallish room look bigger. Size was accurate, came well-packaged to keep moisture out during transit, and delivery time was 2 days. Perfect!

Poor quality and no recourse

I purchased two of these rugs as runners for our new home in late November (2' x 8' each). Within a short time the rugs developed little pieces of rags sticking up all over them. It is just my husband and me in the home so it was definitely not from excessive use. When I contacted Houzz about the defective rugs I was told that it was past the manufacturer's 30-day warranty and there was nothing they could do. I certainly will not be buying any more rugs from Safavieh since they cannot stand behind their products. And Houzz has lost me as a customer as well, with their refusal to address this issue.

Neutral rug; great price.

Great looking rug to lighten up a room - using it at a summer home. The weaving does have some blemishes - different colored threads (i.e. orange, silver) that can look like small staining but not enough to not encourage anyone to order; especially at this price point. There are also many 'pulls' in the rug. I find that by using a wooden skewer to poke the pull back through to the backside works quite well.

Not worth it, even at reduced price.

I wasn't expecting a whole lot at this price, but I do wish I'd read more of the reviews before purchasing. This doesn't even come close to laying flat. If you imagine a towel where the side bindings are pulling up the edges of the towel, that's the same thing this rug does. I bought it for our bathroom, but we won't be using it very long. It bugs me every single time I go in there. The color was accurate as compared to how it looks on my computer screen (ivory/gray).

I actually bought this rug several years ago but am just reviewing it now because I cannot believe how well it has held up!! Still looks as food as when I bought it even with 3 kids and pets. Super easy to spot clean. Not soft, feels like an outdoor rug. But great for a high traffic area. Don’t let the pattern scare you-it makes a great statement piece.

The perfect rug!

Excellent quality. Perfect thickness. We ordered the runner in ivory and black. This rug is a beautiful weave pattern. I would buy it in other sizes too. The color I received matched the images exactly. Soft and strong, perfect combination, I would recommend this rug to a friend. I added two photos... there is a dark spot on the close-up, but that is just the shadow from my iPhone. The rug arrived in perfect condition. :) So happy!!!

True to photo

The rug fits the room and the placement makes the room look bigger. The colors are true to the photo. I would purchase this rug again and would recommend it! I purchase all my rugs from Overstock and have never been disappointed!!!! I have had this rug for a week now and have not experienced the knots or loose threads I read about in other reviews. I also purchased the runner. The two rugs are the exact same color so they must be from the same dye lot. I am definitely pleased with my purchases and would purchase this rug again.

Nice rug, soft colors, needs to be washed

I really like the colors of this rug. It's a nice greige palette. The pattern (squares) is more pronounced than expected but it's fine for my space. I have several of these Safavieh cotton rugs. I love them because they're soft and look nice, but they always stink when they arrive. I wash them as soon as they get here (I use the huge laundromat washers and dryers). They shrink a bit if you use hot water, but I'm willing to lose a couple inches to know they're clean.

Very unhappy with this rug. Don’t waste your money

I purchased this rug and have been using it for less than 2.5 months and I DO NOT recommend it. It has a number of loose threads that make the rug look unfinished. The rug constantly stretches and pulls and leaves bumps and wrinkles even with a rug pad underneath. The worst part about the rug is that it’s piling and I can’t do anything about it. It makes the rug look old and worn out and it’s pretty bad for only 2.5 months. I have to replace this rug because it looks terrible. I called Home Depot and was told because I used the rug there was nothing they could do... without using the rug I didn’t know it would stretch and pill like it has. Very disappointed in this rug.

I LOVE the casual, colorful artistry of this rug! The colors, patterns and textures of the pieces woven together are fun and vibrant. Well packaged and prompt arrival. I picked up an exact same rug elsewhere and trusted my three-month-old puppy a little too early. Grace found the knobs and connections to be a perfect toy. Fortunately, I caught her before too much damage was done. Soon enough I'll train her to sit and refrain from further destruction...I hope! This rug is a happy, pretty, bright rug.

1 Star

Updated July 2019: The pulls on the rug have continued to get worse and worse, and it actually looks terrible. I would give this rug no stars if I could. We've flipped the rug and tried using a thread puller to pull the loose threads back to the other side. Nothing works. It literally looks like pieces of trash are all over it all the time... but no, those are the pulled threads... everywhere. See photos. In theory, this rug sounded good but the reality of it is horrible. I don't know how the company can continue to sell these. It's a complete waste of money. I would call this rug taupe and ivory. It is sold as a gray and ivory rug, but taupe and ivory actually works better for me. Pros: it's a cotton rug so it feels good under your feet. Cotton should be easy to clean if something spills on it. It's reversible (same on both sides). No strange smells when I took it out of the package. Cons: I had to buy a good rug pad to make this rug stay in place. There were lots of pulled threads in the rug straight from the package that I'm having to use a sewing tool to pull back through to the other side. You can't use the brush roller on this rug when you vacuum it or the brush will ruin it. Updating to add: even if you don't use the brush roller, the rug still gets ruined with normal daily use.

Definitely very nice rug. It's got a unique style and I really like the shades of color is has as it's all pretty neutral and can go with any type of decor and house style. It was the perfect size for my front area and helps lighten up my entryway. It is very comfortable to walk on too. The rug came very securely packaged, was clean and intact. It was very easy to remove the packaging and get the rug ready for use. The rug is pretty light though, I wish it had a better backing so it would stay on the ground better and not shift so much with movement. In addition, you do have to be careful when you vacuum. It can easily pull up the fibers from the rug and can damage it. So it would probably be preferred to just hand clean the run or take it outside and shake off any dirt. Less
