Best money I ever spent

Used it for a couple of nights and it performed beautifully. You can’t beat the instant setup when you get to your campsite after dark, like it’s ready in seconds. Took a couple trys and reading the instructions carefully to fold it back up but once you get the hang of it it’s easy. Cozy and a good size for two adults.

Zipper fail....looks like that's a theme

We bought 2 for Christmas...LOVED them! Easy to put up and put down...until the zipper broke on 1 the 3rd time we used it...we owned it for less than a year...of course the zipper broke WHILE we were camping, leaving my entire family of 6 crammed into our 1 other tent!!!

Instant set up! All tents lie about the capacity.

Love the instant set up. Take-down is tricky - practice at home, see YouTube for helpful videos. Once mastered, take-down is quick and easy too. Held up well to moderate rain and wind - except when I had to go pee, rain *poured* through the open door. Zippers could be better but worked OK for me after I waxed them and - this is important - do *not* stake out this tent. It is free-standing so no need for stakes - except in extreme conditions in which I would be foolish to use this tent in the first place. Staking it out adds tension to the zippers making them very difficult. I really wish tent makers would stop lying about the "person" capacity. Gotta always divide by two - "two person" is really one. Overall, I like the "two person" (really one) version so much I also bought the "four person" (really two) version.

Such a great concept, bad execution

Taking it up and down is a breeze. But, like others have said the zippers are a nightmare. The first use i didnt have a problem, but the second time out i thought i was going to break the zippers everytime i tried to get in and out. I think the next time I probably will break them because they are so hard to pull. Then, the tent will be useless. Sad ending to a promising idea.

Good idea - fatally flawed

I am chiming in to confirm other reviews. The zipper is a major problem, especially the inner one on the screen door. (Also, they forgot to put one of the toggles for rolling up the screen...) So we have to use it with the main door closed. Agree with others that it helps not to stake it down tight, but that is not a good solution if you have windy conditions.

Quick Setuo

So the first time I used this...I literally pulled it out of its bag and threw it into the air and it popped open...and my tent was ready. It was a beautiful thing. This is a big package and NOT for backpacking...but well worth it if you’re going to an actual camp ground. It is a little difficult to zip up, but you just need to pull the other side a little while you do. Putting it back in the bag takes a little practice, but it’s like those old car windshield shades that fold in on themselves into a circle...it’s not rocket science. But I’m sure some folks that can’t walk and chew gum will probably find it challenging. But it’s a good tent, roomy, and pretty cool to have it set itself up instead of dealing with rods and so on....

Not worth the zipper hassle

I used this tent for a 5 night solo camping trip, and needed something easy to set up/tear down with one person. This fit that bill, but is rendered useless by the tension on the zipper. It also is not made for wet weather. First night I used it, it started raining steadily for hours. It took 10 minutes to open the door and 20 minutes to close it when I had to run out at midnight to use the bathroom, with rain coming in the whole time. I immediately started looking for a new tent to pick up to finish out my trip (luckily I had cell reception) Also, the rain fly doesn’t cover the whole tent and the tent itself can’t stand up to steady rain - I had moisture leaking through the cloth after a few hours. Not enough to drip onto things, but anything that touched the fabric inside of the tent not covered by the rainfly came away damp.

Fast setup and breakdown, very roomy for 2

I LOOOOOVE this tent! Everyone is so blown away that it just pops up in 2 seconds while they spend 20 minutes putting there's together. Very cute too! You will only have an issue with zipper door if you hammer your tent down too tight.

Zipper fail

I bought this tent last year for an easy camping trip. I love the set up and tear down. Last year on it's first use, I noticed how tight the zipper was and I couldn't really get it zipped all the way. This year, it's second use ever, I ripped the screen trying to get it zipped and the zipper came off the track over night. I could not get it to unzip, so I had to rip my way out. Total waste of $. Very disappointed...

Great price easy to use

Used for a cub scout camp out. This was the mom and me camp out. I wanted an easy tent. It was a very wet evening not sure if it was foggy or it was just that humid. It is southern Louisiana after all and could have been both. The tent had dropplets on the roof when I was still awake that evening. You have to get out to vent your tent and then to close it for the night again. I did struggle with the zipper and it seemed to be because I was sitting at the door that caused the tention on the zipper. I would say that this tent is not made for all camping situations. It is a very specific nitche that it fills. Dry is the best condition! Yes I like it and will use it again but I will be making some modifications to it. I know not everyone has the ability to do this, ( sorry ) I can though and will make that door work for me. I think coleman needs a set of mesh vents assessable Frome the inside.

Not as perfect as I hoped.

I love the concept of this tent; however, it isnt as easy to take down as others make it look. The fiberglass pole broke after a few times using, not sure when (didnt hear a snap) and now has torn through the fabric. The tent is still functional so I'm still using it. It did stand up to rain but I agree with others about the door. There is a lot of tension making it hard to zipper without feeling like something is going to tear. Not staking down too tight seems to help a bit. Overall I probably would not buy again since mine already broke and a large flat thing is cumbersome to transport in my small car. The rain fly is also not 100% removable so I can not dry it separately. But it is a spacious tent and I love the instant setup.

I LOVED this tent until I needed to open the door

This tent is amazing. Seriously. As a short unathletic female, I had NO problems setting this tent up or taking it down and getting it back in the bag.. not sure why another reviewer had trouble with that. After I watched another customer's YouTube tutorial it was like, ohhhh! Then it was SO EASY. Amazing design. It's a dream to set up and take down! Unfortunately, if something seems too good to be true it usually is. The time I saved in set-up was not worth the frustration I felt any time I needed to open or close the tent door. Even with two hands, and being as gentle as possible, the zipper begins to separate and is incredibly hard to close--so much that I limited my water intake so I wouldn't have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night because I knew I might need help getting out. That's insane, and totally not worth the ten minutes you save in set-up and take-down. It was hot and I really wanted to have the mesh outer door open, but after so many attempts I was never able to get the outer door zipped without the zipper coming off track when the solid inner door was unzipped. Sounds confusing, but was really frustrating. Made for a very humid night in the tent since I had to have the rainfly on. I'm also not sold on the floor. I had a tarp down on the ground, but I can't imagine that it would have done well without a tarp since the floor of it is so thin ant not tarp material, but I wasn't willing to find out, so maybe it's more waterproof than it looks. The idea behind this tent is amazing. I really really wish it was functional. Unfortunately, being able to easily open and close the tent door is a total deal breaker. I'm only writing this review because I was so excited about this tent and hadn't taken the door-zipper reviews seriously. Wish I had. I'm hoping Coleman will contact me and give me a store credit so I can purchase a functional Coleman tent and get back to happy camp times.

Excellent for backpacking!

I now have two of these and one two-person Pop-up tent. I got my first one five years ago and it is still in excellent condition. My son and I use these when backpacking and they are excellent. Though not as durable as our canvas tents, we use these when the weather is nice, not windy or too rainy. They hold up well with light wind and rain and it only takes seconds to set up and to tear down. They are light in weight which makes them easy to clip on our packs for long hikes. I'd recommend this tent for anyone doing light, short-term camping. If used as intended, these tents will last a while.

2 person pop up tent

This tent is great! I am a single mom so this is perfect for us. Not that I can’t put up a tent this is just much less time when putting up a camp site yourself. Taking down is easy if you read the directions or google the video. However being ignorant and trying without is almost impossible. I love this tent and I’d say the only down fall would be the price and the fact that they are not any Talley or have cot come up with any screened in areas yet. Well that I know of.
