So far they’re great! I purchased 5 of these for our cabin and they have been very helpful to keep the temperatures more stable when we’re not there and when fireplace isn’t in use. Also great that I can control it from my phone. One of my biggest pros of this product is that they’re very slim and slick looking:)

Very good little heater

I’m impressed with the product. It does a better and faster job of heating the cooler rooms in my home than a comparably sized 1500 watt unit. It’s also very quiet and I like the eco and smart functions. I got 2 for zone heating of a small house (625 square foot space) after the ancient furnace failed. Each heater is about 150 sq ft as a primary heat source but they work well together. :-)

Excellent for Remote Locations

I purchased this three months ago before the winter arrived to heat a bathroom in an otherwise unheated space in an older building with little insulation. Using a mobile hotspot, I have been able to monitor the temperature to keep the bathroom from freezing, and to schedule it to preheat the bathroom before the space is occupied. Unit works very well for the small space (3' x 6'). I intentionally got the 1000w version, rather than the 1500w version due to the poor ancient wiring in the building. I am completely happy with the product performance. It was shipped quickly and in perfect condition. The instructions are excellent. You can calibrate the thermostat to account for your local conditions.

Very happy with this purchase. I mounted on the wall which was very easy. I love the remote and the fact that it will tell you the temp in the room when you turn it on and you can set it at a temperature and the heater will keep the room at that temp- turning off when it meets that temperature and kicking back on when needed to maintain the temp you want. This works so well for my bedroom which has no heat vents or thermostat. Curious for my first electric bill, however I anticipate my bill being cheaper than the edenpure I had been using for various reasons but especially the efficiency of running to maintain a temp.

Very good device

The device works well (after 2weeks of use), and the wifi control does the job it should do. One complaint though: the connection to my wifi was a problem. I have a modern dualband router (2.4 and 5 G). My router decides on which band the device will work. It decided that the heater would work on 5G, but the heater cannot work on 5G. So I had to contact my ISP to learn how to disabled the "autosteering" function, then establish two separate bands with their on password, and apply the 2.4 band to the heater. Not that complicated, but I have a good knowledge in computers. But the problems don't stop there, because once you disable autosteering, you have to reprogram all the other smart devices you're using on that wifi connection (in my case 2 smart TVs, Alexa, 2 Google Assistant devices, a thermostat and a security camera). Not fun!

[Rewarded Review] Good little space heater

This has been an effective space heater. I keep my room around 75F/22C, and it’s only raised my electric bill about ten dollars. The fan seems to work well which makes it way better than the ones that don’t have fans. It’s really convenient to control it with my phone. The room it’s in is about 110 sq ft. The only complaint is that I should have gotten one that had optional feet because I have ended up moving it around a bunch. Other than that one thing, I’m happy with it so far.

Our ancient panel heater finally cracked down the middle. It's no longer available so I spent several days investigating replacements before ordering this one. The Heat Storm is perfect. It arrived well-packed with clear instructions and we had it unpacked and on the wall in about 10 minutes. It has been making our unheated bathroom comfortable for a month or so now and continues to work perfectly -- no odd smells, no strange noises, just heat. It's quiet and very effective; we're very pleased with our purchase.

Super confused on the efficiency of this unit, was replacing a Vortex small space heater hoping to gain a little quieter and some Wi-Fi abilities. Wi-Fi worked great but the heater was showing 76 degrees when it was 67 so I had to blast it to get my room at a comfy temp, took forever to get the room comfortable.

I've had this heater for a year in my tiny house. I mainly heat with wood during the day and I use a silent oil radiator heater at night. But I'm happy I have it. It's low power draw is great. Controlling the temperature in my space via it's WIFI connection while I'm away is super useful (the app also tells me the current temperature in my space). I usually use it in the mornings to heat up my space quickly on days I'm headed out of the house and don't want to bother starting a wood fire.

It puts out a good amount of heat for that 1000w, but at the end of the day, it's still a 1000w heater. So don't hold it against it if it can't heat a 20x20 shop!

Small but works well for my home office

My home office is in a basement room that has no heat of its own. I have been getting by the last year on a couple of different space heaters. During the recent cold spells I have been coming downstairs to find my room at 60 degrees in the morning so I wanted something that wasn’t running when nobody was in the room, yet had it warm by the time i was ready to start work for the day.

I love this heater! It is easy to install with the template they provide and it's very quiet. I have mine out in my 100 sq ft insulated shed and it puts out easily enough heat for that space. Also the child lock really works and it's cool to the touch, so it's safe for kids. But the best thing is the wi-fi control! I can turn it on and off from anywhere and I was able to set a timer to turn it on early in the morning so the shed is warmed up when I get out there. My only complaint is the cord is too short. It's only 3 feet long, so it has to be installed close to an outlet. But I loved the first one so much, I bought a second one for the kids' bedroom! Highly recommend, as long as you get the wi-fi version.

Nearly burned down the house

I smelled a plastic burning smell coming from the room where this heater is located and to my surprise, it was smoking. The heater has melted the plastic and filter almost entirely on the left side of the heater. If I was able to submit photos on this review for you to see how serious the damage is you would be astonished by the damage it created. Either these products are not safe to use or mine has a serious defect. Where I do not know which scenario fits my product because the company does not respond to emails I would have to say I would not recommend this product. Buyer beware.

This heater is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC…! I have only had it for about a month, but it has been everything I expected and much more. It integrated perfectly with my virtual assistant, so I have never even used the remote control, and the features are great. You can use your smartphone or tablet to see what the current temperature is, and what the heater is set to, in a very nice display. It works well, and quickly heats up a small room, and it is virtually silent. The installation is very easy, it has a template to show you exactly where to place your screws, and to level it perfectly, and you can place it next to your plug, so that no cord is visible. I would highly recommend this product, in fact, after using this Smart space heater, this is the only heater I would want going forward – to me it is more than worth the money it cost.

Purchased 1 Year Ago - Disappointed

I purchased this one year ago and was quite pleased initially. It heated my small 60sqft 4 season room/office very well. I loved that I could set up a heating schedule on the app. This was great but by the end of heating season it wasn't operating correctly. Slowly the noise level increased. The fan wouldnt seem to want to shut off and then the heater started making a constant cycling noise, eventually it through an error code. I tried resetting it, cleaned air filters, disconnected and reconnected to wifi, everything i can possibly think of. The reset seemed to help initially but within 15 minutes the problem started again and it has thrown the same error. I am done fighting this battle, snow is in the forecast for Friday and I need a source of heat in this room. I will be replacing this with something else but as of right now, I don't plan on buying this brand or type of heater again.

Convenient Heating

What I love best about this heater is the app. Now, when I am not at home I can turn the heat up or down. I also started using the timer feature on the app. Very handy. So far I have it set to lower during night when I’m sleeping and set to raise temp before I get up. If I wanted to - I could control the heater from my phone without getting out of bed and avoid facing the cold morning!

Not exactly as advertised

The unit I bought has never actually regulated the temperature in the room to the desired temperature set on the thermostat. In fact the unit more often than not has blown cool air rather than hot air. The unit stopped blowing hot air entirely around 1 year of ownership, pretty convenient they only offer a 1 year warranty as I believe this to be the life expectancy of the product. Overall I'm very disappointed that the prodcut has not performed as advertised and certainly is not a product I would recommend to anyone. I believe most of these reviews are only in reference to the unit when it is brand new, not reviews of the product after some substantial time trying to use the product. Longevity and accuracy miss the mark which is why my product deserves zero stars rather than 1 star.

I had to take out our aging in-wall electric heater in the bathroom and replaced it with this 1000 watts smart heater from Heat Storm. I did some reconfiguration of the outlet and moved it to the appropriate place the heater would be so the cords are not so visible underneath. Anyway, it took me three tries to finally get everything to work. The first two heaters they sent me were defective so they were returned. The first one did not turn on at all, and the second one the fan was constantly on and won't turn off. The customer service was great. They were so patient with me and very responsive. Wendie their star customer service rep helped me all the way. So on my third one, everything is working great with the heater finally. The wifi signal and app are both very responsive and I never had any problems so far with disconnection. The fan is working now as it should, and the schedule feature in the app is awesome. I am impressed by the performance of this heater. My bathroom is about 120 sq.ft. and this heater heats it up more than enough. I set up the thermostat to 70 degrees, and it might be off by a couple degrees when the heater turns off but that is expected with the ambient temperature fluctuating in the bathroom constantly. This 1,000 watt heater is sufficient enough to heat up my bathroom. Now, my kids do not have to walk in a freezing bathroom anymore especially in the morning. And I do not have to worry that one of them forgot to turn off the heater, as it is set to a schedule and I have complete control of the app. And just in case something fails with the wifi or app connection with the heater, I set an additional iHome smart sensor that notifies me if the ambient temperature in the bathroom reaches the maximum temperature that I set it to. The heater is connected to a 15amp iHome smart plug and to the outlet, so I can disconnect the power anytime I want regardless of what the heater is doing. It might be an overkill, but I rather have a back up plan if something fails and still be safe. Anyway, I am very satisfied with this heater so far, and just as satisfied with the customer service of the Heat Storm team. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
