This is really a nice product, up to a point....

Like the desk very much, except for a few problems: Impossible to insert FILE GLIDES onto drawer side. Much too tight and seems like "too small" to force onto drawer side, so I find this drawer totally unusable as a file drawer, thus a useless, deep drawer (wasted space).

Such a Disapointment

I ordered this desk in the Mystic Oak color. The color of the wood had a lot of dark blotches on it which made the desk look like the panels should be replaced by Sauder. Also the writing surface was not smooth so it made it hard to write on. Unfortunately I wound up returning the desk to Target. I was very disappointed since this was a Sauder product and their product line is usually good.

Slight Damage, Tough Assembly

This desk was a nightmare to assemble! A couple of pieces had nicks, they were not on the front of teh desk, so I decided to keep them. It took me by myself about 6 hours to assemble. The directions were hard to follow. It it looks okay and will be useful as intended, but not the quality I expected.

OK but junk

Not wood! Complete desk made of cheap particle board. Drawers do not line up. For the price this desk is ok and what we use it for will be ok. Do not buy if you are looking for a work from home desk. Project desk will be in the trash < five years.

Good quality product/very sturdy

I don't like to buy such items online because of not knowing the quality of the product, but I needed a desk with drawers and storage space and those aren't as popular these days. I found this on sale and took a chance. I was VERY pleasantly surprised at not only the beautiful look of this desk, but how sturdy it is. It was pretty heavy in the box, and I was so glad it was packaged very well - it had corner boards protecting all around it and was wrapped in plastic. It delivered with no damage and every piece inside was in pristine condition. It took several hours to put it together, but it came together well and is such a nice piece of furniture. It looks more expensive than it is. I am very pleased with the product and highly recommend it.

Good desk for the money

Nice desk. Per other reviews, it is very heavy (the delivery guy struggled with it and needed my help to get it from the truck to the house), so get the box to where you are going to assemble and allow a large space to lay out all the pieces. The packaging is adequate, but could use some more protection around the corners of the desktop. I had some damage to two corners, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. This probably occurred during shipping, but it was on the back side where it wouldn't be seen, so I let it slide. If you're putting this on a hardwood or laminate floor, there are no feet or bumpers, so you'll have to add them yourself or place on carpet to protect your floor. Otherwise, it's a nice desk for the money and I'm happy with it. Don't count on the advertised 2 day delivery, it took 5 days.

Great desk

I debated on this desk for weeks. I'm so glad I got it. The only negative about the desk is me trying to get it in the house after it was delivered. It is heavy and awkward. Stuff like this should have handles on the boxes! It took me a few hours to put it together because I did it alone and took my time. I opened it near the front door and moved the pieces to the room I wanted the desk in. The instructions were easy to follow. The end result was great. It's a really nice desk for the price. Definitely build it where you plan on putting it. It's nice but it's still manufactured pressed wood. I think dragging it around after it's together would break it

Absolutely love it

I love this desk the large size is just what I was looking for. My daughter can use as well as myself at the same time. Delivery was actually great nice timing just when it said it was coming. Assembly was amazing the instructions were step by step as should be. Plus there is a QR code to scam for video instructions if needed. Assembly time took me about 4 hours because I did it alone. All pieces were accounted for. Bottom panel has one tiny scratch but I took care of that with some finishing polish. If I had to order it again I definitely would. Oh and the packaging was great.

Beautiful color!

This desk is absolutely beautiful. I debated for weeks waiting for one that was out of stock but saw this one and hesitated. The price went down and I purchased. As soon as I opened the box, I could tell I would like it. The color is gorgeous and rich looking! It took my husband and I about 3 hours to assemble-no real issues; directions were very easy to follow. Size is right and the slide out keyboard just gives you more space on top. It's heavy when assemble so assemble where you want it to sit. Two cons for me: 1) I hate the plywood they give you to nail on to the back of this beautiful desk. It cheapens it a bit. 2) The knobs are terribly, aweful, ugly. They look more like rust. I used some brushed nickel knobs I had on hand and it makes it look so much better. I love this desk.

Best purchase from Walmart

This is a beautiful desk, the color is rich and it is so sturdy. I love sauder furniture, I have used sauder for more than 20 years. I was very excited to find this on Walmart.com and could not believe the price. I am a 5' woman and was able to put 80% of it together myself. Just follow the instructions. Everything was included, no missing parts. It's a little bigger than I thought but is working fine in my space. Working remotely, I wanted something sturdy to work on. Absolutely love the keyboard tray as being a a typist for 40 years, my hands are right where they need to be. You cannot go wrong with this desk. Highly recommend this purchase, you'll love the color.

Sauder does it again!

This desk turned out to be better than I hoped. I put the desk together myself. It took me about three hours because there was so many pieces, and I was used to using my power screwdriver and I could only use my regular Phillips screwdriver. The box even came with extra parts. The desk once assembled even turned out to be bigger than I had hoped, which turned out to be much better in the end.

A beautiful piece of furniture at a fantastic price

We bought this desk after we realized that we needed an additional work space in our study. We didn't want to spend a lot of money and I thought this desk looked a little too good to be true given its price. We decided to order it based on the positive reviews and we couldn't be happier with it. It is stunning. It is very sturdy and a great size too - not too big and bulky but still has plenty of desk and storage space. There is a cupboard on the left with one shelf and drawers on the right. The top drawer is shallow and the bottom drawer has a frame for drop files which was a added bonus for us. There is also a sliding keyboard shelf under the desk.

I would buy the product again but fully assembled vs. parts.

I use the product to support my wife's computer, accounting, and other efforts she provides to our household and to the organizations she supports with her personal efforts and funds. The desk, after the long and complex efforts necessary to get it assembled correctly is quite good but I will also add two more shelves on the space to the left of where she sits. With the added shelves she will be able to store more small work related items next to where she sits rather than having to get up and go to another location to get them. You should consider adding two more shelves when you ship the unassembled desks or provide the opportunity for the buyer to give you a few more dollars for two additional shelves and eight support plugs to locate them in the left side of the desk.
