We use Rubbemaid 100 gallon stock tanks for our horse water and thus winter our old one if these quit working, I think it was worn out from many years of use and horses messing with it in low water levels. These are the best heaters that fit perfectly in the large opening in the Rubbermaid tanks. Was very happy they were in stock at my local TSC for quick pickup.

Product works great. The delivery was problematic. TS delivered it to the wrong property not near us and wouldn’t resolve the issue.

Does NOT fit my Rubbermaid stock tank

This does NOT fit my Rubbermaid stock tank drain hole. The hole in my tank is too small for the stub on the heater. Perhaps this is because mine is about ten years old and newer tanks have larger drain plugs, but if that's the case then it should be clearly described on the box which models it is designed for, instead of the unambiguous statement that it fits ALL Rubbermaid stock tanks. I fully admit that I am irrationally angry over this, but returning it and finding an appropriate one is going to be a huge waste of my time, and until then my horses' water is going to be freezing and they are at increased risk of colic.

Works for me every time.

Clearly fit into the original Rubbermaid drain hole. Five foot cord was adequate. Use these before and they last years if properly stored when not in use. They will need replacing every few years.

Copper stock tank heater

Easy to installand because it is a copper heating coil it helps prevent algae growth.

Does not fit "ALL Rubbermade tanks".

Advertised as fitting "all Rubbermade tanks". This ONLY fits 300 gallon stock tank and not 100 or 150 gallon tanks. The 100 and 150 have a 1.5 inch drain. The 300 gallon tank has a 2 inch drain, which is the size this draink plug de-icer needs. Sadly, we have 100 gallon tanks.
