All 3 60 in blinds are all different lengths. The headrail on one is warping and the hanging clips are going to slip thru. The so called clips to raise the blinds are not practical in any way. It will cause damage to the blinds and if you want to raise up you would have to use a ladder or step stool. I'm totally dislike the cordless. There should be an option to purchase corded blinds if there are no children in the houshold!!! The only feature I liked was the color. I would like to exchange the one with the warping headrail. If you have any corded roll up blinds please let me know.
ordered two blinds, up for 3 days and one blind came completely out of the header. I have tried to repair, but the blind does not stay in the track of the header so cannot hang up. I don't know how to get a refund or replacement. I feel I wasted the payment on these blinds.
Pain in the Rear
I have 5 of the original blinds with the cord, I love them. The new ones do not have cords, you have to manually roll it up or down by hand, then put these tiny clips in on each side. I understand the child proof reasoning, but this is not it. we had a storm come through on the 4th, 3 people trying to roll them up. They are not fastened to the rail, so they slide out of it.
Good blinds at a great sale price!
Love the blinds, easy to hang. I like that I can see through them while still having privacy in my lanai. Didn't like that there's no cord for pulling up, so I left them down. It works for me.
Disappointed
I should have looked closer before buying. It’s plastic straws and twine. I have no idea what part of this is vinyl. I was super disappointed when they arrived but opened one to try anyway and I can’t even lift it because the straws keep falling out of the top attachment. Not to mention I was expecting a typical clip from above but you have to drill and screw long hooks into your windows!! Also takes forever to try and use the straps and hooks. We bought and will be returning 6 of these.
So these are basically are just longer versions of coffee stirrers, the plastic straw type things. Thin, flimsy, fragile, and completely see through once hung. Ordered them online and had them delivered and I can't have them shipped back I have to take then to the store to return them, not happy at all
Poor design
So I understand the whole cordless thing as safety issues, but this is the worst design EVER. You have this short strap with hooks on it, and you have to manually roll up the shade and secure the straps on the 'fine' threading holding the slats. How long do you think those threads are going to last doing this? And trying to get the shade even when it's a wide shade is just a nuisance. For the price, I guess it's okay -- but what a CRAZY design. I bought them because I needed to match a shade I already had, and these did; but the shade I have has the cord which is so much nicer. We are purchasing conversion kits so we have corded roll ups. PLEASE go back to the corded design.
These blinds are pretty good. They filter the light and make our 9 window porch a little cooler now that we have these and new windows. The only thing I would take a star off for is how you have to roll them up and secure them. It's a better way than the stupid plastic things that were harder to do. I miss the ropes (strings) that used to be so easy to put up or down.If you don't have kids you still should be able to get those!
Inexpensive, good quality shades!
I couldn't be happier with these shades! After doing so much research into "expensive" bamboo shades, I decided to give these inexpensive vinyl blinds a try and ordered them in charcoal/silver. Initially I hadn't wanted a PVC shade...the large drinking straw look is tacky, and I doubted they would help keep my south facing windows from heating up. The quality of these is actually amazing! These are a smaller and sturdier "straw" design, but the quality is good and they actually do a good job of keeping my home a bit cooler. With delicate handling, I expect these should last me a good three or four seasons of use!
Not much shade from these blinds
From the picture of this item I expected quite a bit of shading from the sun. Not so, unfortunately, after all had been installed. Too much sun onto the screened porch. Would not buy these again, even though
Great addition to outside patio
Great addition to my outside screened in porch . Helps to filter the morning sun. I took down bamboo blinds that bent, and faded with time, and replaced with these. These will much easier to clean . Roll up bands were a bit tough to attach, but much better than a cord.
Measure, then measure again to stay sane
This rollup blind was replacing an old matchstick blind that we loved but clearly was rotting. So remembering all the misery I had installing the first one years back when I was a kid in my 50s, I took extra time measuring the spaces between the hooks and where I would drill into the window frame. I measured FOUR times (yes, OCD) but should have checked the marks for the drill a fifth time, lol. So once up I adjusted the three clips to hold up the blind and while they work just fine I do wish they were beige instead of white, as they stand out like Band-Aids. Installation was doable for one person in spite of the 5-foot length. For the price it was a good purchase.
Disappointed
I find it difficult to roll up and down. I thought the tab was from the top of the screen to wherever you wanted it to be. I think corded blinds would have been better and I think these will not last due to the way you have to keep them up or down. Sorry I didn't buy the corded blinds like I was replacing. Still need more blinds and I am sure I will go back to the corded ones again.
Great, hassle-free, and stylish!
These were the easiest blinds to hang ever! Keeping it simple, makes it easy. I hung three blinds in less than 10 minutes. I am older and live alone. Keep in mind, they are cheap material. They were inexpensive blinds but, they look just fine. I would 100% buy again.
Crappy item!!
I would have rated this a lot less if I could. I was extremely disappointed in this product. It is so cheaply made. I hung it up, as soon as I rolled it up and put the strap on, the strap fell apart. It was put together with staples that came open. My household stapler has stronger staples. To get decent shade from this, I had to double it and tie it up with string. I purchased 2. I made the one work, but took the other one back to the store. It was a waste of my money!!

I bought 4, opened the 1st one to hang & returned the other 3. The quality for a $15 shade is about what you'd expect, it's fine. But the no cord thing? Well, let's just say the work around is sub par. Those straps you have to use to raise & lower the shade? They're attached to the rings with sharp staples, and are the rings are so tight that if you're not careful you'll destroy the part of the shade you're trying to attach it to. I don't need that much hassle every time I want to raise or lower my shades
Veranda Blinds (Gray, White pale Yellow)
The blind works for my needs, but it is not a top of the line product. I needed a blind to block bright sunlight to protect plants from getting burned. This is not a blind that should be rolled up constantly as it is better to keep it stationary. The blind is vinyl and un-corded there are straps you adjust each time you raise, or lower the blind. They attach to the strings that the blinds are held together by. Constant moving of the straps will cause extra wear to the blinds strings. I don't need to adjust my blind, I keep it set always to block the sun. I do like that the blind is vinyl and can be sprayed off to remove dust and dirt. It would be better if the blind was corded instead. Easy to install came packaged with all hardware, looks great.
Not your normal bamboo shades.
Does not roll up as it has no string or rope to pull them up, guess you have to make a pully yourself. I was not reading that in the description so was unaware and don't feel like paying to send them back. Pretty color and standard bamboo shade which is why I bought them, didn't want something expensive but no pully? Who makes a roll up shade that doesn't roll up? Should I just tie it up with something? but then I can't just let it down when I want, not gonna work on the windows I picked.
Quality Lacking
I know these vinyl shades are not meant to last long. I use them on the exterior to cover a window on the west side of our house, so the sun melts them after a few years. However, I installed this one and after a few hours the shade portion fell out of the top bracket. It just slides in, as you can see in the photo, so there's nothing permanently attaching it. I'll probably just put some screws in to hold the shade portion in, as it looks like a complete design defect to me. You can also see how the bracket was bent on the left side from the heat, even though it was only about 90 degrees that day....
I like these. They are very simple and attractive and look really nice on our deck. Honestly, i do think the old system of cords might be easier and more efficient when rolling the blinds up or down, as the straps used to hold these in place are sort of fussy to attach sometimes and I do foresee the strings holding the blinds together wearing down from attaching and removing the metal pin that secures the straps in place. But all in all they are pretty decent for an inexpensive blind.
