We live in an area of frequent power outages, and wanted an emergency light that would come on automatically when the power goes out. I’m remodeling the detached garage/shop and I installed one of these near the man door. It was pretty easy to install. It is wired for 120 or 240 AC. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. You can hang it up in an open position while you wire it, no balancing or holding it in your teeth while you work. It is lightweight and has a fairly clean design. The dish shaped LED reflectors swivel so that you can direct the light. The light is not super bright, but it is bright enough that you can find a tool and not stumble over stuff. I am happy with this product but I might look for something with a brighter light for my next installation.

This is my first emergency light for my home. It's OK but don't expect it to provide an abundance of light. I like the adjustable lights but it's not going to win any style contests. I can recommend it to people who want cheap emergency lighting but for people who want a top quality product that will put out an adequate amount of light they will have to look elsewhere. All in all, it's worth the money.

I used the bigger brother of this light in a commercial building where it was required by code. And it got me thinking how handy this same emergency lighting would be at home. Here in the NW, living in the trees and rain with long winter nights, we have minor power outages nearly every winter. These lights are designed to be hardwired into a junction box, but they draw very little power. Instead I used an extension cord (with the outlet end chopped off) , and wire nut connected inside the case, plenty of room. Located in a hallway on the way to the laundry room where the emergency flashlights and candles are kept. Plugged in, just sits there but power out, I'm able to safely get my other materials located and out for use. Very simple handy way to solve late night surprise outages. Light is pretty small, but bright, doesn't call attention to itself, except when it's doing its job.

The SEL 0.7 Watt Integrated LED Emergency Light is bright enough to illuminate a room. A great feature is that the lights turn on automatically when the power goes out so you are not left trying to find your way around in a dark area, until you find a flashlight. The LED canisters can be rotated in a full circle so that lighting can be directed where it is needed. It also has a test button so you can tell when the battery is charged. The fixture does have to be mounted into a junction box and it comes with everything needed, including a rechargable NiCd battery and clear directions. It is for indoor use only.

We got this emergency light to put up and install in our combo laundry, pantry and "mud room". We wanted to be able to have a good light source for when the power would go out to illuminate this area in the back of our home until we could get our generator fired up. The unit was easy to set up and install, and it provides a much needed emergency light source on the inside of a back door portion of our home, so we feel safer about that as well. We are quite happy with this unit.

This is a really nice emergency lighting unit that will turn on automatically when the power goes out. Although the battery looks to be a bit small it will run the lights for about 90 minutes. Wiring is fairly straightforward, although it can be wired for both 110 and 220. You will have to fiddle a bit with the knockouts to get them free during installation. For an inexpensive unit it was what I had expected, although if you have a larger space you may want to get a bigger model with brighter bulbs. However, this was perfectly adequate for a 20x20 space.

This is a LED emergency light. It has two very clever adjustable LED lights that can be directed up or down and left or right once mounted. It is meant to be hard wired with an included ni-cad rechargeable battery during power interruptions. The back mounting plate has an assortment of possible mounting possibilities, but a major design flaw is that none of these are factory drilled, nor is a cut out provided for the hard wiring; these slotted holes are difficult to field drill.
