Wonderful Watercolors!

I love that these paints are extremely pigmented, which is great for student art projects in which a little goes a long way. It's great that you can pop out the old colors, and they are easily replaceable. #sweepstakes.

Great colors - where have the refills gone?

I love crayola watercolor paints (oval pan - set of 8) for their vibrancy. They are my go to watercolor sets for elementary art. Unfortunately, as of last year, the oval pan refills no longer seem to be available. They are an art teacher's best friend when it comes to replacing individual colors that are used a lot. Will refills be available again soon?

Love these paints

I have been using these paints in my art classes for years! I love to teach children about the range of colors possible with a simple palette. In order to cut down on waste, I order the refills and pop them in as needed. I'm having trouble sourcing the turquoise refills. They've been backordered and then cancelled on me for the past few years and I'm really running out. I had to buy new sets to get more turquoise. Do you still offer the turquoise refills?

I order these paints every year for my students. I love the true Crayola colors. The sets hold up to use by various ages from kinder on up. The brushes usually last for a few years of use at school also.

I use these kits with seniors in paint classes- we teach them mixing and some easy w/c techniques- the colors are rich and blend well. The brushes were better they made a change a few years ago, so I substitute several others brushes.

Perfect for Beginners

Purchased these for a watercolor class, and they work very well. The pigment load is solid. They blend well. My students like using the inside of the lid as a palette to mix more specific colors. They may not be the best on the market, but they certainly are worth every penny, especially for beginning artists.

I would only buy if students were very young

The colors activate quickly with water and are quite good. However, comparing it to the slightly more expensive Prang box set, these colors aren't as strongly pigmented. For younger art students, these colors would be totally fine. For older art students, say, over 7 yrs old, I'm staying with Prang semi-moist to help them learn how to mix colors. Prang, also, amazingly, doesn't fade with my test of paint strips in a southern window for a year! I was amazed at that.

Brilliant colors

Using this for various children's art projects. The colors remain vivid once dry, the pans are easy for children to use, and the paints don't disintegrate like cheaper brands' do.

These are amazing!

I didn't know until this school year that crayola has different kinds of watercolor pans. These blew my mind! The colors are vibrant and blend together fantastically. I highly recommend the 16-color pans because of the beautiful tertiary colors. The black is jet black, and the white is decent for splatter painting on top of the other colors. Even the brush is a much higher quality than most watercolor pans, even though it's pretty small. Will definitely purchase more for my classroom in the future!
