This is the perfect rain shower head. He pressure is excellent for just letting it fall on you, letting you just relax your stress away.

Matte black is spray paint. Scratches super easily

At the price point, you hope for quality but the black matte we received was basically spray painted and the paint chips off incredibly easy if it’s not already chipped in the box.

We have loved the HG for the past month and a half. The finish was a perfect match with our Koehler fixtures. …. But after our first cold night we turned on the shower and the shower head disassembled. Home Essentials Direct was great with the return and reissued the same item. I am hopeful it was a one off issue. For the amount of money this unit is, I was surprised how many plastic parts are used. I would have expected a shower head of this name and cost to be more substantial.

We wanted a rain shower head and this fit the bill. I have noticed that the water trickles out on some of the holes after time so it isn't perfect.

I bought this showerhead because it looked almost exactly like an amazing Hans Grohe showerhead that we had for years. I naively assumed this new one would be a similar experience even though that older model was not a low-flow showerhead at all. The problem is that when you put this showerhead in the mode where it actually uses all of its nozzles, it's low flow rate just doesn't have anywhere near the power. In that mode the water does drip out pretty weakly and it's sort of nice but not very useful. This means that the only mode that we ever use it in, is the mode where it it turns off the whole outer circle of nozzles. And.... that in turn means that you might as well have bought the smaller one or one of the ones with fewer nozzles. It's a pretty good showerhead though! Even though I can tell it's not using very much water at all, it feels pretty good. I just feel silly that I always use it with the whole outer ring of nozzles turned off.

Build quality is good (consistent with Hansgrohe), but even the more intense pressure mode isn't a hard pounding shower. Given the cost, I just can't recommend it as such.

Although I do like a rainfall showerhead, sometimes I want to be blasted with a firehose. This often leaves me up the proverbial creek because most showerheads are either one or the other and those that claim to offer both are usually very ugly. So I was very attracted to this """"""""IntenseRain"""""""" showerhead from Hansgrohe, a brand that I've only recently discovered. When I first received this Hansgrohe showerhead, the first thing that stuck out to me was its weight and build quality. Despite being smaller than other Hansgrohe/Grohe showerheads, it has nearly as much weight as some of the others I've recently tried, which, at least to me, is always a good sign. Installation was as easy as for other showerheads, so there's not much to talk about there. From the point of opening the box to turning on the shower with the Hansgrohe head installed, it was probably only five or six minutes. Very simple. Having used the showerhead for about a month at this point, I'm quite happy with it. It's basically a hybrid version of the two types of showerheds that I like: rainfall and high-pressure. It achieves this by essentially being a high-pressure rainfall showerhead, so the water output (1.8gpm) is quite a bit higher than most other rainfall showerheads. Considering I've only been using this showerhead for about a month, I don't have much to say on its durability and longevity. However, it does seem like it's going to hold up nicely. So now for the ultimate question: Should you buy it? In my experience, this comes down to two things: price and your preferences. If you like the idea of a high-powered rainfall shower and are cool with the price, then I think you'll be very, very happy with this Hansgrohe shower head.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to shower heads, but had never tried a hansgrohe one before. I was really excited to try the Croma Select, but it's just kind of meh, especially for the price. First off, the flow rate is 1.8GPM, which is fairly standard for a low-flow shower head these days. The Croma Select 7.3-inch head has two spray rain and intense. Neither option is able to suitably overcome the low pressure. The intense spray cuts off water to some of the outer nozzles to increase the pressure. It certainly helps, but it sort of defeats the purpose of being a rain showerhead. The regular rain spray is completely useless. I would get better pressure just pouring water over myself with my hands cupped. Second, while the showerhead is beautiful to look at and it seems like it's built well, several nozzles were already shooting water out in all different directions right after installation. I had to rub my fingers over them to make them shoot straight. Lastly, if you think that hansgrohe's premium price means they've figured out how to avoid using teflon tape, you'd be wrong. I was planning on using teflon tape regardless, but I figured it'd really be more of a just-in-case situation. I ended up having to use a ton to keep it from leaking. I'm sure hansgrohe makes great shower heads and without the flow limiter, the Croma Select might have been awesome. Unfortunately, low-flow is the future and companies need to offer solutions that provides better pressure while saving water. I personally would not recommend the Croma Select, mainly because you'll be paying premium showerhead prices for a showerhead that doesn't perform like one.

I've got a bit of a Hans Grohe vibe going on right now. If you're shopping for kitchen and bathroom fixtures from this brand, you're going to see my name popping up quite a bit. I've been reviewing quite a few fixtures, so many that it's become more of a strange hobby and I've actually set up staging areas where I can hook them up, run water through them, feel them, examine them, unhook them and put them away for later. I may end up doing something strange later like building some tiny homes with all of the hardware and fixtures I get through vine, because..... Why not? This shower head is a pleasure. I've seen a lot of bathroom fixtures that I would describe as "chewy" or "chintzy" or both, and worse. None of those descriptors apply here. I disassembled it as far as I could, all of the threads were cut clean, the finish covered everything that needed to be covered to prevent corrosion, none of the seals were pinched, etc... It's just a great quality shower head and I'd say it would last you a lifetime, but 20 years from now you'll probably replace it just for the sake of having something new. Humans tend to like new things. The easy clean feature is probably my favorite thing about Grohe shower heads. I usually forget that that is something I need to do until I wonder why I'm only being hit by 4 jets of water in the shower that're trying to cut me in half. That's not a problem anymore.

The media could not be loaded. I had a much cheaper generic rainshowerhead that I was pretty satisfied with. Considering this one is way more expensive, I imagined the shower would feel way better/impressive, but I was wrong. While aesthetically, it looks much nicer/premium, and I like how they have two switchable modes, the water is really really thin. Personally, I don't feel like I'm getting a good shower compared to the cheaper generic rainshower head. If you're looking for REALLY thin water drops, then this may be for you. Personally, I'd like a thicker/gentler feel and I get that more with a much cheaper showerhead. It's a shame because it looks much nicer, but I'm going back to the cheaper showerhead.

This was quite simple to install and the rubber gasket sealed it the first time. I added an arm so that this would spray above me, as I am quite tall. The rubber water tips make this easy to remove calcium deposits so that it will continue to easily spray. Like the size, simple function and the clean look!

This 180 shower head is a smaller head that pairs well in showers of smaller size or lesser water pressure and volume. Its 1.8 GPM flow rate is less than some 2.5 GPM fixtures, but is quite good and saves on water. The fit and finish are excellent. The Chrome version has a brilliant and deep luster and shine. I really like the look of it. Hasgrohe recommends their Raindance 15" shower arm model # 27413XXX in the matching finish needed. It is certainly expensive but also high end. 5 stars.
