Just ok. Not impressed.
We purchased this machine just a few weeks ago, so far it works as it should. This is not to say there aren't any design flaws. So far there are 6 things that I definitely do not like.
Very convenient
I love this coffeemaker! I bought the black one, it's worth it. This one does it all- I have the choice of anywhere from 4 to 12 ounces, I just turn the dial. This is a huge improvement from the earlier model. The buttons and programming capabilities are very user friendly and set up quite nicely, leaving no question. There is a stand for the shorter cups (minimizing the splashes) or you can remove the bottom section for a larger thermo mug. The water receptacle is removable, making filling it very very easy. I also love the accessory for using your own coffee in the single serve usage
Good coffee pot - has a few issues
I had had it a week and it works decent. Looks good. I have no problem with temp on the carafe as that is adjustable. The buttons need a back light. They have low contrast and hard to read. One selection is at the bottom of the dial and impossible to read unless you duck, or take a pic to read it. One really annoying design flaw is the water reservoir for the 12 cup side is positioned in the back, non removable. The entire lid, which covers front to back has to be opened. This makes it impossible to put water in without moving the coffeepot each time. The top of the carafe seems cheap and I can see that will break easily. It is held onto the top with weak plastic clips, which will not last. The pot itself makes decent coffee, not great, not bad. With sales and Khols cash I paid around 120.00 for the item, which was a real great price. It is decent, and I enjoy it.
It's good, but not without its issues…
After using a different brand of coffeemaker for several years, it was time for a new one, so we went with this Cuisinart model. All in all, it's a decent purchase; I like the speed with which it delivers a cup or a carafe, and it's nice to have the iced option.
Stepped it up
We had an earlier model of the Cuisinart Coffee center. We loved it! On average we made 5 pots of coffee a day, for more than 5 years. So understandably the machine died. So we are sold on Cuisinart. However that being said I did do some comparison shopping, just to be sure. We could not be without a machine as we are addicted and we relieved to find this machine in stock locally. It makes the same great hot pot of coffee out old machine made, but it is better on the k-cup side. The fold down shelf for mugs is perfect. The old machine would sputter when expressing the k-cup coffee, this one doesn't. One design of this new machine I would criticize, the overflow hole on the back of the machine is placed so that if not careful you will put water through it when filling the reservoir. I recommend Cuisinart Hot and Iced brew Coffee Center.
Disappointed.
Picked up my coffee maker only to get it home and the Pod single serve was not functioning. Trouble shot it, read how to fix in the book that came with no and no success. Returned it for another one, took it home it was a repeat, of the first coffee maker, did all the start up process and running water through first and again the Pod single serve was not functioning. Could not get the button to even work on either. I took the second one back and the store had no more in stock so I just gave up and got my money returned.
The coffeemaker is great. Kohls, not so much
My beloved Cuisinart coffeemaker of 15 years and daily/several-times-a-day broke the week before Thanksgiving. I did my research and decided on this one. Target, Amazon, and other stores were offering this coffeemaker for a discount over the Thanksgiving holiday, but I decided I liked a color scheme at Kohls the best; plus with the coupon, it became significantly cheaper to purchase through Kohls.
