Great Whole House Filter.
This filter beats the competition. It's really well built. Installation was easy. I like the filters better than the GE.

Easy to install
Had an emergency. The GE Whole House filter that connects to an under-counter ice machine, FAILED ( began leaking). As a result, no filtered water so no ice. I’ve experienced numerous failures with these GE units over the years. Unfortunately I had to buy another one to be able to get ice flowing again.

A quality product, well designed and made! Absolutely nothing included in box but easily obtained at hardware department! Don’t forget the Teflon tape!
Stay with the standard blue housing!
I wanted this housing because it was clear and I'd be able to see the filter condition. However, I had issues with this model leaking from the bypass valve area. So after less than 2 years, I went back to the standard blue housing. Interesting...the blue housing has a 10 year warranty whereas this clear housing with the bypass valve only has a 2 year warranty. I guess that should have been my first clue/warning. Sometimes simpler is better!
Didn't care for the plastic threads. Notes all over to not over tighten.

Good unit, second one I have installed.
Everything was great, but once installed it’s very hard to switch from on to off. My customer is unable to work the valve on top of the unit. Guess I’ll just have to stop by whenever filter needs changing.
