Smoothest install of a spigot I ever had

I have about a 3" pipe nub extending past the wall so I got this one. It was a little scarred up from taking the old spigot off. I wrapped a couple of turns of Teflon tape nice and tight and greased it a bit. Slowly rotated it on and it went on so easy all the way to the wall. Tightened the screw holding it on and tested it. Awesome! No leaks at all. Pulled the knob to redirect it to the shower head and it sealed right up, stopped dripping out of the spigot and when I turned off the water, the knob opened right up again. I am impressed with the ease of use and the sealing abilities.

DIY is not always best

The screw underneath was cumbersome to access for tightening because the top of the tub was about 2.5” from that area. I finally had to purchase a specially angled screwdriver to finesse the screw in such a tight space. I also needed a mirror to see where the actual screw was. Once completed, everything worked as it should.

Purchased to fix a leak due to busted o ring in existing faucet. Worked as required.

Nice spout but set screw was not Allen type

I purchased this spout by paying more than less priced others thinking more price means better quality. My old one was half the price and had a Allen screw in it while this one has a Philips head screw. The Philips screw is hard to tighten as with the room between the tub is not enough to get a screwdriver square on the screw head to tighten it properly. I can't give a 5 star rating for this reason.

Self tapping screw?!?

Here’s a bright idea, let’s use a self tapping screw to hold the spout in place. That way you can tap hole into your copper stub and dump water behind the wall and into the room below. Thank you Danco for turning a 10 minute project into a full blown repair.

Great except for mounting screw

This is a very nice tub spout with diverter except the person who decided to use a Philips head screw instead of a hex head screw ought to be fired. It is virtually impossible to get a Philips screwdriver on the screw to secure due to tub interference. Everyone else uses a hex head so you can use a right angle Allen wrench. Talk about a bunch of finagling to tighten that Phillips screw!

Bathtub spot with diverted replacement

This replaced a nearly identical part that was a few years old. Old one had an hex head screw while new one had a Phillips head. Easy install and works great.

Nice look, easy instalation

Very easy to install. I had to reused the hex key screw from the old one, because I could not get a phillips screw deiver under it to secure the spout properly. The produce has performed well so far.
