Cheap

These were replacing previous knobs. I matched the model number. They are NOT brushed brass. They are shiny. And they are made of a cheaper/lighter material than my original knobs.

What a great buy! We constructed a built in cabinet for our family room and needed to add some modern handles to the new drawers and cabinets. This was soooooo easy to use and useful. The instructions were clear and as long as you are using standard handle sizes, it's a cinch that includes both short and long nails per handle with separate templates for measuring drawer and cabinets. I can concur with some of the reviews that the cabinet template seems too close to the door corner, but don't fret because you can just use the drawer template to gauge a new distance that fits your taste.

We were trying to match current ones... we replaced one's we had that had stripped screw holes and kept falling off. Matched well.

[Rewarded Review] Pretty and subtle

I have used these knobs in two kitchens and in two different finishes (wrought iron and satin nickel), and really like them. They have a design that makes them detailed and interesting--but not one that suggests a certain time or style. I would recommend this knob--attractive and fairly priced.

This product did what I needed. Don't expect miracles, you may have to slightly improvise. Every cabinet is a little different, no pre-made template will work perfectly on every cabinet, and it is unreasonable to expect it to do so. In my case I needed a 1/16" spacer between the lip and my drawers for the template to center correctly. I accomplished this by cutting a piece of cardboard to go between the template lip and the drawer top. Others mentioned that they drilled their own holes. The bottom line is, the template worked reasonably well, and with a little care, met my needs. My suggestions to improve the template, were I the maker, is to come up with a few small clip-on spacers in 1/16" increments to fit the lip of the template. (1/16", 1/8", 3/16") That would make the template a 10/10. Also, I would produce a one or two-page guide on how to position cabinet hardware and include it. These slight, low-cost modifications would vastly improve the product. Even if it cost a little more, it would be worth it. A few things I learned: When measuring to find the center of the drawer to mark at the top, place a piece of painter's masking tape on the drawer top to mark on. In the case where you have shallower drawers positioned over deeper ones, do not attempt to vertically center the pull on the deeper drawer. Position the pull the same distance from the top on all drawers. In the case where you have a very wide drawer (32"-36") on which you need to install two pulls, with two cabinets underneath, position the hardware so that it is centered over the cabinet doors below. It does not matter if you have several drawers of varying widths like this: keep the rule. No one will notice, the pulls look best over the cabinet door centerline. Knobs should be positioned 2.5"-3" from the bottom or top of cabinet doors, use your judgment for aesthetics. After using a sharpie to mark the cabinets, and verifying you are happy with the positions, go back to all marks and punch a hole by hand using an awl. This is important! Cabinets are hard and have slick finishes that will make your drill bit tend to slip. Using the awl will prevent this and allow the hole to be drilled far more precisely, which in turn will look more professional. Good luck.

Purchased this to replace the hardware in our new kitchen from a one pull knob to a 3" cup pull that required two screws. It worked great until we got to the deep drawers. This tool wasn't long enough to reach the center of these drawers. Also, the plate at the top, that sits flush on your drawer top could be made a litter wider. Our drawer fronts are thick and we had to really push this tool tight against the drawer front, while pushing down hard to get the most accurate measurement. We did about 10 drawers in all of 20 minutes. The deep drawers we ended up manually measuring and this took longer than the 20 minutes to install the other drawers so - when it works, the tool is awesome. Just don't buy it if your drawers are deep.

good quality

I've had the black nickel on my kitchen cabinets (and the matching drawer pulls) for many years now. i'm pulling them off to refinish my cabinets and they like the day I bought them. I'm glad they are still carried because I need a few more. I used different screws than came with them because my drawer fronts were thick. just make sure to purchase the correct thread if you have to do that.

They were not perfect, but it did help get the handles drilled correctly. The drawer piece worked pretty well. My drawers were all the same height. I put blue tape over the "not to be used" holes, and drew an arrow towards the correct hole, so I did not make a locating mistake. I also used blue tape on top of the drawer itself, so I could make a center mark to put the guide on. I also marked the drill hole itself on blue tape. The door piece was not as handy. Somehow none of the holes were in the right spot, and I could not mark both ends of my 5" handles. Still it helped locate one hole, and helped make the handle parallel with the door side. The drill bit was quite sharp and cut a pretty clean hole. These templates may sit unused for the rest of my life, but at least I didn't screw up any of the drawer fronts in the new bathroom. I'll give them some of the credit, so it was worth it. Drilling holes in new cabinets is a nerve-wracking process, so I was happy for the help.
