Great cage, plenty of room for hamster.

[Rewarded Review] Great cage for gerbils!

First time getting gerbils so I researched before. This cage seems to be perfect for them. There's enough room in the bottom for them to have a thick layer of bedding, and there's enough room in general to run around and explore. The only thing I don't like is some bedding comes out when they're digging, but as long as they're happy, I can live with that. Some people complained about the spacing of the bars, buy my gerbils are big enough. Haven't had any problems with that.

Roomy crate

This is a very nice and spacious cage. The only downside is it was very difficult to put together but definitely worth it.

The BEST small animal cage. Ive had this cage for years and used it with variety of animals. I originally got it for my mouse but have since used it with my bird as well during travel ! Approved by all !

Our pet loves it

Got it for our pet rat. It takes some time to build but after that it is pretty easy and simple! It is not heavy to pick up, which is a great plus. I thought with the size it would be heavier. It's easy to unclip and clean. You have to make sure all four corners and the cage lines up before connecting the bottom to clip in again, this takes a little practice but it is not hard! We like the two door option on the top and the side.

Flimsy and won't fit together

Bought this for my rats. Followed instructions carefully to assemble it, but only three corners would fit into the base. Called Prevue Pet Products customer service number three or four times during their business hours, never got anyone to pick up, and the customer service voicemail box was full. Called Chewy and their rep as always was immediately available and very courteous and tried to be helpful, but this is not something they could help with over the phone because they didn't design the product. After about four days Prevue Pets finally responded via email and sent me the same instructions that had already come in the package and that did not result in the parts fitting together. I disassembled it and reassembled it carefully and scrupulously according to instructions, and once again only three of the four corners would fit into the base.

Good cage, ramps were too steep to get up

I really wanted to love this cage, as I have the smaller version. However, the front facing door placement makes it so the top ramp can only be placed above the door or higher, and that makes the ramp too steep. My rat struggled to get up the ramps. You could move the bottom platform up but then you would have to fill the bottom pan with a ton of bedding to lift up the first ramp. I really wanted to like this cage but the ramp situation did not work for my rat.

Great cage for mice

I was hesitant to purchase this cage since it was a new product and didn't have any reviews. My mouse was in a 20 gallon long aquarium which was fine but it felt cramped do to the long and narrow dimensions.

Great size cage for our hamster. Cage we received from pet store was too small and hamster was chewing his cage. Now he’s very happy with lots of room to burrow.

Sturdy, Easy to assemble. The spacing between bars is close together... which adds to the stability.

This is like the Hilton for my daughter's 3 dwarf hamsters. Well built with lots of room. Lots of bang for the buck.

Perfect for our syrian hamster

I just bought this for my daughter’s Syrian hamster and it is perfect. There’s plenty of room for him to dig and run around and the bar spacing is small enough that he can’t escape. I had trouble finding an enclosure with appropriate bar spacing, but this one does the job.

Have been using this cage for over a year now and I can say it is well worth the money an has held up well even with a serious bitter. It's spacious, easy enough to clean, and for a good price.

This is a very good investment if you have a hamster and want him to be happy. My hamster is very content in his new home because there is plenty of room to create little nests and he has 2 hamster wheels and lots of space. He doesn’t bite the cage like he did before when he was in a small cage or climb the bars trying to escape. He seems very content and comfortable. The only problem was that the platform didn’t have the hardware in the holes on one side so I couldn’t attach it properly or securely. But Wayfair was prompt at sending me with a new one and it was perfect. The customer service is superb in my opinion. Just know that this cage is much bigger in person than in the pics. I guess I didn’t realize just how large it would be. Make sure u have a good space for it.

This cage is the perfect size for a male Syrian hamster. It seems to have the space they need but also smaller spacing between the wires so that they can’t escape.

Perfect size for my Syrian hamster. Fits the big 9” wheel perfectly too with still enough space for her to run and she does not chew through the plastic.

The best cage we found!! Easy to put together!!!

My little guy ( Guinea pig) loves this habitat. Very spacious and the extra level makes him happy to see us no matter where we are in the room. He also likes to hide under the ramp where it’s nice and dark. I would definitely recommend for a small animal and limited space.
