This desk lamp provides direct light without any glare. Especially great for an older person.

Too much spill out

Not dimmable and too much spillover light which makes it useless when trying not to disturb other person. Also, the goos neck is waaay to short.

Bought this last Christmas for my hubby who suffers from macular degeneration. Bulb lasted about a year, with no way (according to him) to replace the bulb. Just ordered another lamp. (As for the length of bulb life, maybe if he wasn't up all night, it would have lasted two years!)

Wonderful light for reading and artwork.

I like this light a lot. I also purchased the floor lamp but this is my favorite. I only wish I had bought one for my late husband who had macular degeneration and needed good lighting.

Good focus natural light

I use this for reading. The light is excellent. I just wish I didn't have to buy a new lamp when the bulb dies. It adds more to the landfill.

Use this as a desk light. I need to raise it up about 2+ feet on a bookcase next to my desk which helps to spread the light focus. I really like it at that height.

Solves two problems

Age has taken a toll on my eye sight, and this focus, high intensity light has helped with reading. since it is very focused, my wife is less disturbed when I read in bed. I do recommend it for reading.

Fabulous light source for reading.

Compact but bright light for reading and doing sitting crafts, like knitting, and working crossword puzzles. Easy to focus and adjust the placement of the light stream. We use a floor model behind the sofa and the desk model on a side table in the living room. Also one in the bedroom for reading in bed without disturbing our bedmate.

Lamp review

Overall the product works as advertised. It is nice and bright and I like the light focus feature. However it would be nice if it were 6 inches taller so that you could have a greater reach with the goose neck.
