We ended up not needing but definitely glad are available for when do or if need. Often depending on the thickness of countertop (quartz, granite, etc.) you may need these extensions for under the cabinet to properly hook the faucet to the water supply lines. Some newer faucets come with, some do not.

Have to buy more parts

Really Delta! After trying to install my bathroom faucet and finding out that I have to buy additional parts. The shanks needed to be extended. Too short to go through my quartz counter top. I had already spent $300 on the faucet and now I have to spent an other $30 for extension for 3 of my faucets. You should make them longer or supply the extension. I shouldn't have to buy them. This makes Delta a bad choice to buy. I have always used Delta. You were the best, now no better than the rest.

Saved our bathroom remodel

Our plumber told me he couldn't install the two expensive Delta faucets we bought because our (standard) stone counter was too thick. I found these and they were delivered the next day. Problem solved!

Additional parts needed

When a person pays over $400.00 for a bathroom faucet a “fix” should not be needed because the faucet is not sufficient for a marble countertop. Having to pay an additional $30.00 for extensions should have been corrected by now. I see from comments this has been a problem for over 5 years with a pandering comment expressing concern from Delta each time it is mentioned.

Thick Mounting Kit

I have been a master plumber for over 25 years. Delta is my first choice of faucet and I am remodeling my own bathroom with Delta. I spent over $4000 on Delta products. The fact that in all these years Delta has not changed this design flaw is amazing. I have had to use these extensions so many times over the years. Kohler, Grohe, Moen, and so many other brands do not require these extensions. Shame on you Delta for not making the shank longer.

We had marble countertops installed and the lines were too short. This set solved the problem. It is not an exciting purchase, but everything looks and works beautifully now.

We had 4 beautiful faucets that we wanted to keep after installing quartz countertops - not to mention the cost savings of not having to replace the faucets.

Problem Solved!

When our plumber told us that the pipe on our faucets that we bought (and loved) were too shallow for the depth of our new counter we looked all over for a new faucet with the proper length of connector pipe. When we could not find one I called faucetdirect to explain the situation. Imagine how happy we were when we were told it is an easy fix and the attachment will be shipped right away. So easy! Thank you! This item should be offered as an option with all faucets.

Building a new home and had no idea our marble would be too thick for the faucet. This fixed it!

Design Flaw

Agree with prior reviewer - faucet should be designed to accommodate standard thickness of most natural stone slabs or 3 cm. Should not have to order "an extension"

For powder room Faucet

This did the trick to get our powder room faucet installed through an extra thick piece of granite. Worked like a charm!

Delta Design Flaw

The need for this points out a major design flaw affecting Delta products. Namely the standard won't work on 2 CM granite. Interesting that it is only the spout that won't fit. Really stupid design. Kohler does not have this problem.

Loose faucets due to 1 1/8 inch granite counter top.

I bought two of these recently and installed them myself. They are exactly what I needed to convert sloppy loose faucets into firmly installed ones. Thank you.

Must have for Delta install on quartz counter top

Works as described. If you are mounting your Delta faucets on natural stone or quartz counter tops this kit is a must.

Delta Thick Tile Mounting Kit

I was very disappointed that I had to purchase this part so that we could install the delta faucets on our new granite counter. It should come with the faucets. The part, however, worked perfectly.
