fantastische wokpan

Ik heb deze wokpan nu een paar weken in gebruik. Het wokken gaat prima ermee. Is ook niet te zwaar, wat voor het omschudden goed is. Kortom, erg tevreden!!

Honest review

Light, easy to clean, deep enough. Would prefer if the bottom was more conductive on induction. Use the wok about 3 times a week. No need to worry about non-slip surface peeling off or breaking down.

een droom van een wokpan

eindelijk kan ik wokken zoals we in Thailand bij een kookworkshop deden, ook zonder gasvuur! Wok goed heet laten worden en dan snel aanbakken, super!

Heel fijne wok

Voor mij heeft deze wok het ideale formaat. Je kan er nl. niet enkel in wokken maar ook stoven, bakken, stomen, etc.

Poor quality

Just received my wok and excited to try it out only to find out it's not good at retaining heat at all. Very disappointed as this is a 5 ply wok which I paid almost $300. Also it's very thin compared to other brands 5 ply. It's doesn't have anything on the wok indicated that it is 5ply. I highly doubted I got the wrong one and it's 3ply instead. I hope I can still return the wok. No more Zwilling in my kitchen anymore. Guys go with AllClad instead. Way better quality. Even my Lagostina pot that I used to use for stir frying is better than this wok. Total garbbage.

A skillet in wok's clothing

After seeing and using this "wok", I get the distinct impression that Demeyere has no idea what proper wok should be, for the following reasons: 1). It weighs as much as a cast iron skillet, making it difficult to control tossing and heating with any elegance, 2). The base is the same width as a large stove burner, so this pan heats horizontally, like a skillet, rather than taking advantage of a wok's natural heat zones. 3). It uses a metal handle--not safe/convenient for high heat. 4). It includes the same generic instruction manual as all of Demeyere's other cookware...which precludes seasoning. Basically, you're paying a lot for a deep-sided pan, from a company well-reputed for high-quality pans--but not for a wok. I'm disappointed.
