No remote

Though this product listing states it is a fan with "light and remote," it does not come with the remote. The manufacturer informed me that I could purchase a remote separately (which costs between $112 and $140). The fan otherwise works fine. It is just described poorly.

Excellent!

This is an absolutely beautiful looking fan. The finish looks great and the fan has lots of great features. It looks a little intimidating when you open the box as there are a lot of parts, but it is fairly easy to install if you follow the instructions. The remote comes with a base that can be used to mount it to the wall. I like that the remote can also be used to reverse the blade direction, change the light color, dim the lights, and change the fan speed, so no more climbing on a ladder to flick a switch for the different seasons. The fan has many speeds and runs quietly. There is noting not to like about this ceiling fan.

Sleek Modern Fan with Color Changing LED and Remote

I wanted to upgrade from the simple dome light the builder installed in our master bedroom. We live in Florida, and a fan with a good downdraft can reduce the need for turning the air conditioner way down during the hot & humid summer. The Generation Lighting #3JVR58ZWD Jovie 58" Indoor/Outdoor Ceiling Fan has 6 speeds including a "Breeze" mode that cycles through each speed for 30 seconds. It is operated by a Hand Held Remote (2 AAA batteries) that comes with a 2-screw wall mount. The LED light is dimmable and has three Color Temperature Modes--Warm White, Soft White and Daylight. The fan's Matte White color blends nicely with our off-white generic ceiling paint.

Ok but i don't like the bracket

I needed to replace a 16 year old Hunter fan in a living room and gave this one a try. My opinion is that it is simply ok, with a significant flaw.

Quality

The finish and materials used seem to be top notch. There are little details that really make this combination fan & light shine. I installed this in my back-yard, under a covered porch as it's a damp rated fan. This helps in Texas summer keep things cool. Installation took me about 30 minutes, I've installed well over a dozen ceiling fans so it was nothing crazy new. But what really caught my attention was the quality of the hardware in use. It's a significant metal housing and motor. The fan blades are all plastic, and the remote has a built-in magnet to help hold it in the housing that you attach to the wall. If there was thing I would change, its to further integrate the remote into the fan itself, having external controllers with 6-8 wires that need connecting is not fun and getting them all in the electric box is a pain. I have had this running on a timer enabled switch for over a month. I use the timer so I can let my dog out and there is a light on in the evening. Happy to report that the fan remembers its previous state when power is turned back on. So I have my light dimmed on the yellow-amber color to help reduce light pollution, and whenever that timer turns on the LED comes back in the same state. Same with the fan, so keep an eye on that, you don't need to fan to be running if no one is sitting under it.

Nice Fan, Wall Control Only, No Remote.

We hung our Jovie 44 in. Integrated LED Indoor/Outdoor Aged Pewter Ceiling Fan with Light Kit, Wall Control and Reversible Motor in one of our bedrooms. It is a great size for a small room. The aged pewter is a very pretty color. Not black or brown or grey. Sort of a combo of all those (see photo). Installation was not super easy. This is a more complicated installation that our other modern fans. The wall control adds a little work. If you are not good at running electric wires you may want to get an electrician. This fan has no remote. Speed and dimming are both on the included wall control (see photo), thus the extra electrical work. One thing you can not do on the wall is change the color temperature. You have to make that choice as you are hanging the fan and stick with it because the temperature selection is inside the fan housing (see photo). The various speeds are great and the high setting will blow the room around, as you'd want. Dimmer works really nice as well. While we kind of wish there was a remote along with the wall control, the Jovie is a really nice fan.

Monte Carlo Jovie 44 inch fan with integrated led light.

This easily installed (3 wire connection) in aged pewter, with LED light, and 44 inches blades is such a beautifully balanced and with three speeds it cools ( or in winter heats) a good sized room. The light grey oak blades are a nice, neutral colour. Unlike some fans it comes with a wall mounted controller. It is very robust, and is ideal for an experience DIYer or professional installer due to the weight and controller unit wiring.

Large fan that can be used outside in a damp environment

I got the Generation Lighting Jovie 58” ceiling fan for my semi-enclosed outdoor porch. While most fans can be used indoors as this fan can be, this fan can also used outdoors in a damp environment. The fan can really move a lot of air because of of the large 58” size with three blades with a 12 degree pitch. The fan has a 6 speed reversible DC energy star rated motor that is very quiet. The blades on the fan are made of ABS with the steel finish that matches the other parts of the fan. This is a complete unit with a three color temperature integrated LED light that can be changed with the remote control, no bulbs to replace. The fan was easy to install with the included down rod and has an extra long lead wire for long down rods. Great fan with a limited lifetime warranty.
