Double Check Countertop Hole Size First

Beautiful fixture and it would seem quick to install. However, the hole in our countertop is larger than the recommended opening per the installation manual (see pg 5). Instructions state to add accessory centering ring 98996000. It was very difficult to find this part on the Hansgrohe USA website (you have to be creative in your search for Spare Parts). After finding it, there was no option to order. Called their tech support and after 20+ minutes on hold, they stated they don't even carry the part and could not help us. The local authorized dealers also do not carry this part, including Ferguson. We have resorted to finding an alternative reducing ring/slip joint washer or some other make-shift solution. What should be such a simple install has turned into a lot of extra work to make sure the faucet does not wiggle loose in the future.

Nice size, bright chrome, and great design - we bought two of them for side-by-side sinks in our new bathroom. The handle moves smoothly and predictably, so it's easy to set the right temperature and flow. Water comes out aerated and with enough volume for all our purposes. Highly recommended The only negative which keeps me from giving this 5 stars is that the spout sits only 3 and 7/8 inches forward of the centerline of the faucet's countertop drill hole. When the water is coming out fast, no problem - it easily pours far enough out into the sink to be conveniently usable. But when I set the flow to low to conserve water because I don’t need much, the water only barely clears the edge of the sink. Not a lot of space for hands, etc.. I'm not sure how many other people would notice this, but in practice I usually turn the faucet "up" a little so there's more flow and this doesn't happen. If you care, I think Hansgrohe sells a taller version of this same faucet, which based on the specs I've read probably avoids this problem.
