The hot water is really hot! It is small and neatly mounted under my kitchen sink. I will probably install another one in the bathroom.

I bought five of these units. A licensed plumber and licensed electrician could not get them to perform properly. Even when set at 120, hot water lasted just a few seconds and then went back to cold. They are totally misrepresented. Junk. I returned them all. DO NOT BUY!

Not hot enought

This unit produces very little hot water. Even at a trickle the water does not reach temps above 90 degrees with the incoming water at 55 degrees here in San Diego, CA. 3,500 watts \ is not enough electricity to heat up the water for even the smallest faucet. The water is heated by 30 degrees, but this is only luke warm when the incoming water is 55 degrees.

This small on demand water heater was good for my application because I have a whole house on demand water heater, which is great for the kitchen and shower because you use it a lot longer, but for the bathroom sink it just took too long for the water to get there for the amount that is needed. So it really worked well to have instant hot water. However you must use the supplied .35 gal. flow restrictor. It supplies plenty of hot water, it just reduces the flow a bit but is more than enough to get the job done.

Was not impressed with the description given for electrical installation. My understanding when I ordered it was that I could plug into 110. But when I read the installation guide I had to use number 10 wire and change the breaker to a 30 amp breaker. That was not disclosedWhen I purchased it. I returned it for a different model.

Water heater works great. My only complaint would be that at low water flow the heater doesn't turn on. It also makes getting warm water a challenge sometimes, as not enough hot water is required so the heater doesn't stay on. This is a POU tankless water heater weakness.

Does not work! Fine print is the manual says it will work with a .5 gpm aerator but the actually ship you a .35 gpm which is 4 times less the flow of a standard 1.5. It just can’t keep up with the flow and therefore delivers lukewarm water.

The ECOSMART 4 KW POINT OF USE ELECTRIC water heater is a good option if you are needing to get hot/warm water to a specific area of your home. Depending on its size you can get hot water to A sink or A shower. This kit is getting hot water to our master bath sink only. Use to take a minute to warm the water, now it’s a matter of seconds.

A bit disappointed in this as it requires a dedication 30amp service to run. I have the unit installed under the bathroom sink where it's going, but I'm now waiting for a electrician to squeeze me in by the end of November to get this hooked up. Overall though the unit is compact and should help with bringing hot water to my bathroom where it takes about 5 minutes to get hot now. Was hoping this was more of a plug in unit but it requires direct wiring, luckily only 110 so it will be less expensive to get installed. Electrician said he can probably add a plug and matching outlet, but will determine the best way when he's here.

Having installed 8 small electric tankless heaters from 3 manufacturers, I feel like I have a good bead on the market. A few years back, most manufacturers were far too optimistic in specifying water flow rate and temp from smaller heaters under $300. Supposed "whole house" heaters in the 11 kW to 13 kW range simply won't do the job in the winter anywhere north of Georgia. Manufacturers are now more realistic and candid, with clear info about the amount of temp rise from a given inlet water temp.

This is something I've been wanting for years. I've turned my garage into a man cave. We have everything out there except hot water. This is a game changer for us. I'm anxious to get the bugs worked out. I know I have a flow rate issue and I'll work with the manufacturer to resolve that.
